It has been under several ownerships with all of them being "par excellance". However, new owners took over in 2017 as we found out on our recent visit. Arrived at our specified reservation time and we were seated. Perused the menu and made our decision. Our party included a small child (7 yrs). He ordered a cheese pizza while we adults had pasta dishes. We were served our food, while it took over an hour for the pizza. During this time of waiting we advised our waiter and he nodded, but the pizza never arrived. The owner kept glancing over and did nothing to speed things up. Meanwhile, we finished our salads and pasta. Finally, the owner came over, after another attempt on my husband's part to get her attention, and we explained the pizza still had not arrived. She did bring it to us, but by that time our little one was so hungry and tired he could barely eat his pizza. I asked our waiter for the complimentary rolls which we received on previous visits, and he mumbled something about bread being expensive, which you don't say to a customer, but finally brought them. The food was very good, served hot and flavorful, but service is inconsistent and poor. Also, this is a busy time for restaurants in the village, yet we saw several empty tables. Customers kept coming in & were being turned away. We were there almost 2 hours & these tables were never occupied.

The food was just spot on, along with friendly service. They took the time to explain the menu and didn't rush you along. The 1st - 2 evenings we just stuck with the pizza's and loved them all. On our last night we had pasta and pizza. Again just amazing. The crust, the sauce just perfect. I'd highly recommend anyone looking for good Italian food that tastes good and is filling to come try this place out. The prices are quite reasonable compared to many restaurants that offer this type of food or atmosphere.

Not the the "cream sauce" kind. I can tell you that Sto bene is the real deal!!! But first, we had to try the bruschetta with their homemade pesto sauce. Ah-mazing! Probably the best I've had. We also tried their red wine by the glass, and it was very, very good. When the carbonara came out, I couldn't wait to dig in. The crispy bits of bacon were tasty and the dish was seasoned perfectly. All in all, a fantastic meal. The only downside, no air conditioning and their pizza oven heats up the entire restaurant, not it's worth it!!!

Pasta e Vino does it the right way and it shows. By having such a tight fresh pasta menu three items) they serve great pasta with very nice sauces. We went early, and on a Monday so seating was not an issue, the the tables that had reserved signs on them let us know this place fills up fast and it's not that big to begin with. It's a cool little space with a deli case right at the front so there is no hiding anything. Our two servers took great care of us, explained the menu and took our order. We both ordered the pasta carne with dirty pork and a red sauce. Tagliatelle was the pasta of the day, not sure if that changes or not. We also ordered house wine, red for me and white for the lovely K. The 1/8 litre 4 1/4 ounces for 3.5 euros wasn't expensive, but it also wasn't enough. You can order more (1/4 litre is 6 euros) which we would next time. The food came out hot and quickly and very nicely covered in Parmigiana Reggiano and was a good sized portion for 13.5 euros. Would we rave about it, probably not, but it was great!

My travels have taken me from living in 4 continents over 10 years, to working various projects in over 30 cities worldwide. What's my point? It took this horrific restaurant experience to persuade me to open up a Yelp account and, for the first time, share. I was persuaded to visit this "restaurant" by the Yelp reviews. I'm currently living in Malaga, Spain a port city known for its seafood. I've also lived in other port cities in Qingdao, China and Old San Juan in Puerto Rico. So I know and appreciate good seafood. Their seafood is the akin to KFC or McDonalds. Which, coincidentally, is where the owner of the restaurant suggested we go to after complaining of not having food, more water or an opportunity to order a bottle of wine after over an hour. They didn't even have many people in the place! This pre-Madona thinks he's running NOBU in NYC (my hometown), but I can wholeheartedly say he's got nothing to brag about. The food is terrible, not even mediocre. With an attitude like this, first, your food has to be amazing. If you're in Paris, NYC, or Tokyo and are willing to subject yourself to abuse for, known/famous, ritzy restaurants then I won't judge you. But to be subjected to terrible service and ridiculous waiting times for terrible (not fresh) seafood, then you're a masochist. In my opinion they might as well be serving Zika.
