This place is setup in what must have been a private home a hundred years or so ago. It has a…read morecentral garden with a fountain, around which rooms are located. Rooms are the most unique I can remember, loft style, with narrow ceramic stairs, beautiful tiled bathrooms, and period wooden doors. The breakfast buffet is basic, but enough--you really don't want to fill up on hotel food in such a lovely town. Grab a coffee, fruit or pastry, then head out to find a nice spot to eat :) The staff is super friendly, parking is available in a private lot across the street, and the downtown is within walking distance. The WiFi is strong, the A/C + Heater unit does its job (winter nights can get really chilly in Veracruz). Do you have other options? Perhaps, but this one is unique :)

There's rafting in the area I will try next time I come in the grounds are nicer than what I had in Filobobos. It was well worth the drive for me and I'd come back for a romantic get away.

After an online booking company (read Expedia) failed to confirm my…read morerental with a well-known rental company, I was left stranded in a foreign city with kids, baggage and no transportation. Other companies were charging well over double what my original reservation would have been. I found Skyline and their staff more than courteous and understanding, put me in a great car that fit my family and our luggage and gave me a great price (much lower than others around). The service is outstanding and the rates are very reasonable. They definitely helped me get out of a messy situation. FYI, they are located a few minutes outside the airport but if you make a reservation, they offer to pick you up at the terminal and will also drive you to the airport upon return. I highly recommend Skyline and will use them upon my next trip.
