The limit of shavings is not great, because we knew of a horse there that'd never been in a stall before and she'd pace in her stall, she just spread it around, there was barely any shavings left. They were spread out all over her stall and the mat was exposed the next day after cleaning day. If we wanted extra shavings, we had to pay an extra $9.00 for a wheelbarrow full, but not full to the point where the shavings were spilling out. One of the main things we didn't like were the cliques and back stabbing that went on there. The manager said she wouldn't tolerate it, but wouldn't do anything about it. The staff there were pretty rude and would really only talk to you when it was time to pay rent. When it's time for the Eugene Pro Rodeo, forget on riding anywhere. Even though we couldn't ride while set up, days of rodeo and clean up, I still had to pay full rent and wasn't pro rated for the days I couldn't use the facilities. Even though there were cameras, we didn't know if they even worked, because there was a lot of theft, dumping of dirty shavings, etc. that was never followed up on. The wash rooms always had plugs with fur, mane and tail hair and feces, so you definitely had to wear rubber boots. The wash area next to an arena was for boarders and show horses that came for shows. There were signs that said to clean up after your horse but the show attendees never did. Nothing was ever done about it. I had a stall right next to the wash room and my horse was wet quite a lot and the shavings along the wall to about 2 feet in were always soaked. That made my horses stall 2 feet smaller. I still had to pay full price, even though I asked many times for a higher wall and a better seal on the inside of the wash room and the inside of my stall next to the wash room. If you're okay with one of the pros and cons, maybe this stable would be good for you. In honesty, I can't say I'd recommend it.

When shows are in you can forget using arenas. Morning feeder is cruel and slaps horses, and dumps there waters. BIG problem with theft.Stalls are hit and miss. The arenas are well kept up but the office staff is rude to the point of being vicious. They treat anyone they don't know with spite and malice, owner "Major" is a joke walking. I left with clear bill no board owed, found out several months later that they reported me to collections for someone elses bill!!! Inquired several times, no answer. Finally got it removed, most shows are boring and not we'll put together, as stated, Mountain Trail is what they are ALL about. I would never board here again, to many issues.

I was recently looking for an avenue to get my wife and I on a horse. We don't own a horse, but my…read morewife used to ride them as a child and she had told me she had missed it, so I called around to see if there were any places where we could either ride a trail -- or more likely because it is February -- ride in a covered area. I asked several stables. Most didn't get back to me. One did with a suggestion that is too far away. A friend referred me to Arcuri Stables and see if this is something we could make happen. With a few days, I was contacted by Tim, the owner. He was in Arizona at the time, but wanted to personally talk to me about what I was looking for. Horse lessons sounded like the right way to get on a horse and thankfully, although a lot of the horses at Arcuri Stables are championship level horses, they do have some lesson horses and instructors. I waa somewhat of a tight deadline as I thought most stables had programs for lessons, but I was wrong. Most require you to own your own horse and station it at the table for lessons. Arcuri totally does this, but branches out a bit to add some full service options for people like my wife and I. Tim was able to work some magic to squeeze us in for my wife's birthday. Beginner lessons for both us. The drive to Arcuri Stables is a ways off the beaten path past Marcola Road. However, it is a beautiful property. We were met by Tim's son, who gave us a rundown on the Championship Awards and what all they do there, which is a lot. It is an impressive resume for anyone looking for Championship Level competition. I was just look for a beginner lesson and we met our trainer and heades into the (heated) covered area. My wife went first so I could watch and see what I was supposed to do. She got to walk and trot around on the horse -- named Kid -- and the trainer was super helpful with reminders for her as she rode. My wife greatly enjoyed herself. Next was my turn and I was a bit apprehensive. I have only been on a horse a few times as a kid and one time my horse took off to catch up to other horses and I couldn't control it. I'm also 6'5" and most animals aren't bigger than me, but a horse is, so I wasn't tereibly comfortable. Most of that melted away as I got my instructions and being able to see what my wife was shown. I even trotted around while our trainer stayed right with me, which is more jogging than I would personally care to do, but she did it just fine. Overall, our experience at Arcuri Stables was excellent. They provided top notch customer service, worked to fit my wife and I in, were extremely pleasant all around, have great teachers and facilities, and the Championship pedigree is definitely felt and noticeable. My wife and I will surely be back and although we don't own a horse nor wish to compete at a Championship level -- if we were wanted to go that route, we'd head to Arcuri Stables for it and so should anyone else.

Ryan, Tim and Jeanne are among the nicest people in the business. I can't recommend Arcuri Stables enough.
