I recently tried posting a prepaid parcel here. I have done this many times before. The person…read moremanaging the till at the post office was unable to send my parcel but could give no reason why and could offer no advice what to do next. I took it to another post office and posted it without problems. Since losing the original post office , the services provided at the COOP are not efficient. Largely due to ill trained staff I suspect. Not the fault of the staff as they have to multi task and do their best. I will avoid this for a post office in future and go to Bishops Cleeve where the staff are professional and very helpful.

We used to have a good professionally run sub post office in Winchcombe, but then it was moved into…read morethe Co-op where, although the staff do their best, they are obviously under- trained, have little space to work and have to serve both shop and post office customers with the inevitable confusion. The whole place needs a proper refit. When I worked for the Post Office in the 1970s both the management (which was usually time served) and the government still had a sense of civic pride largely absent today. (For a post office which is well run under similar circumstances see my review for Bishop's Cleeve Sub Post Office) I shall update this review if and when things improve.

The auction house recommended Mail Boxes Etc to export and ship my antique table to the U.S. Upon receipt of the package, the table had a broken leg from not being packed very well, which was the responsibility of Mail Boxes Etc. (MBE). I thought, "No problem, it was insured." When I sent pictures of the damage to MBE, Mr. David Owen, the Director, replied that I didn't open the package soon enough and notified them soon enough and that I would not be getting my insurance entitlement. I do not recommend any person using this place to ship anything of value and do not trust them to honor any insurance claim. I will be taking this issue to file suit in a court of law. This app forced me to rate it and the lowest rating is one star. I would rate it "zero" stars.

We recently shipped several packages from Cheltenham to the US. MBE was very helpful in answering…read moremy initial questions and taking my shipment and payment, but that is where the helpfulness ended. Their customer support is the worse I have ever encountered. All of the packages arrived fine, except two. I waited several more days in case they were separated from the others, but they failed to show. When we originally shipped the packages MBE told us to email them if we had any questions or issues and they would promptly respond. So, I emailed MBE to request their help. A few more days passed without a response. (Don't waste your time emailing MBE as they never responded to any of the several emails I sent. The only way I could get any response from MBE was to place an international call.) I then started my own investigation of what happened by contacting the shipper, Parcel Force, and learned that they had returned the two boxes to MBE as they contained some items that could not be shipped. (FYI, Parcel Force is excellent to work with and performed a significant amount of investigation to find my boxes and provide me with the detail information needed.) I then contacted MBE who had no clue of the boxes being returned. I provided them with the package tracking numbers and told them they received the boxes 6 days earlier and they were signed for the D Owen, who turned out to be the owner. After 2 additional days MBE finally admitted they had the packages, would open them and remove the unshippable items. After 6 more days MBE finally got around to doing this. (I only found this out by placing another international call.) After another 7 days, several more international calls by me, and some additional charges the boxes were finally shipped and ultimately received. The bottom line message to all this is DO NOT USE MBE CHELTENHAM. They are only interested in helping you if there is money involved for them. They made many promises, but failed to live up to any of them...even those made by the owner, David Owen. I would give them a 0 star rating, but 1 star is the lowest I can give.
