The branch also employs a full time financial specialist who can explain the intricacies of the many Post Office financil products which are also available and include ISAs, credit cards, foreign cash cards, travelers cheques, current accounts and savings accounts.

The Walls vary from being the same level as the payment lto being several meters high. The walls are around two miles long and are excellent way of seeing the main attraction of the city, including the famous Eastgate clock, apparently the second most photographed clock after Big Ben.

They simply loved walking round them, looking down at what was going on below on a warm spring day. The beauty of it was that there's lots of wall to walk round -- they cover virtually the entire circumference of the City -- and that to do so is completely free! We returned home with two happy and very tired children (after all that walking and climbing up steps) -- they slept most the way home. We'll be back!

Beautifully maintained, this is now privately owned, but was once owned by King Edward I. It has served as a military outpost and private residence. Enter through the port illusion and step back in time. When you enter the castle, you're able to walk freely amongst the luxurious living spaces as well as the soldiers's areas, dungeon, communal servants' area, and courtyard. Docents are throughout and we found them knowledgeable and engaging. Mind that you'll hang your backpacks/bags under the watchful eye of a docent. The grounds are immaculate! Pathways leading through grassy, open spaces and tree-lined shade, bring visitors to an all encompassing view from atop the hill. Beautiful flowers, topiaries, hedges, copses, and manicured beds somehow still maintain an air of natural wildness. Pheasants call from the trees and birdsong fills the air. Sheep dot the surrounding fields. The soldiers' areas provide contrast to the home's comfort. Displays give visitors a sense of what daily living may have looked like. Signs provide insight into individuals and functions of each room. The courtyard features a few tables and refreshments for visitors to relax for a while. There was also an active display about sustainability. Take a peek down into the well here! We had a wonderful day explaining losing the castle and grounds. I'd highly recommend a visit when you're in Wales!

We were on our way north and stopped here for a lunch break and a walk on the castles estate…read more There's a good sized parking lot, even with some spaces providing a bit of shade from the trees. Great for a hot summer day (like it was on our visit). We traveled with our Bulldog, so we just came to enjoy the castle from the outside and to have a walk around the estates parkland. Staff we've met were all very friendly and welcoming. It was built in 1295 as part of Edward I's chain of fortresses across the north of Wales. It was later on demolished in the English Civil War, but then rebuilt. Since 1981 it belongs to the National Trust. And it's a beautiful castle. It's really in a fantastic condition and the land and park surrounding it are well taken care of. There are some small trails around the the meadow and castle and some longer trails to enjoy a bit more of the parkland. Some tables and benches in front of the castle to enjoy a picnic with these wonderful views all around. For another time it's surely worth a re-visit to see the gardens and the inside. It's just really a wonderful place to see and to be. We really enjoyed it.

The ladies who man the counter are extremely friendly and effieicent in addition to having an encyclopaedic knowledge of all things Post Office related. They usually suggest the cheapest method of posting items but also point out the benefits of alternative services. The Post Office shop stocks a range of cards, stationary and parcel wrapping products as well as offering a beaurea de change at the rear of the store.

One of my favorite hikes in Wales! I've been coming here…read moresince I was five with my uncle. There are several paths to the jubilee tower; some steeper and more strenuous than others. It's approx 4 miles round trip depending on the trail you take. It winds through the forest and heather fields. You may run into a badger, (Mochin daear), or some sheep.

A wonderful walk in North Wales…read more Moel Famau (Mother Mountain) is situated in a country park near Loggerheads between Mold and Ruthin in north Walesin an area of outstanding natural beauty (AONB). The peak is 1818ft / 554m and offers fantastic views. At the very top of Moel Famau is what remains of the Jubilee Tower. This is a beautiful place with rolling hills around you. It is a popular walk which still feels peaceful. There are some benches along the way to stop and admire the view. There is a good information point with (if there are any left on a popular day :) ) brochures detailing the different ways up so you can decide on the length of the walk There's a pleasant picnic area by at the car park (£1.00 at time of writing) where you'll find a number of picnic benches. There is a snack van for refreshments and toilets here too - there aren't any at the summit.
