With winter coming on, it failed…read more Jim and his son came swiftly and, accompanied by a few curses for the lack of light and piles of tools in our furnace room, Jim reworked the furnace entrails and said it was still a good furnace, didn't need replacement just yet. Then he looked at the four "zones" that the original supplier put in, said they were confusing the furnace, and offered to fix the system, which he then did. After all these years, our old furnace is doing the very best job ever of keeping this old building and its huge lower half-basement level very evenly heated. We appreciate that he was willing to work on an old furnace, and when we need a new one, he's the man.

However, the management is always very friendly, and the prices just can't be beat - around $35 for a single! Compare this to any other hotel in the Mineral Point / Dodgeville area ... you'll be lucky to find any other one for $80 or $90. It's also well-maintained - the rooms are always clean and stocked with towels. The ones I've had all had microwaves and mini-fridges, too. The manager was even kind enough to leave some sheets on the floor by the door on a muddy day in order for our dog to get in the door before we toweled her off. If you don't mind "roughing it" a little - Dairyland Motel is the place to go!

This place is a ripp off! They came to install my aquasana whole house water filtration system and…read moreover charged us. Before they came we already rinsed the tank and cleared out the area where they will install the unit. We installed the reverse osmosis ourselves so all they had left to do was the main system (contains 1 rhino tank filter, a pre and a post filter) which isnt that difficult but just because we dont have the pipe cutting tools we had them do it. The reason they ripp us off is, Ford appliance sent 2 guys to come do this simple task which is really a 1 men job. They spent 2 hrs abd a few minutes to install and charged us $1055! That means they charged us 4×trip charge, should only be half of that because they both came in the same van, just one trip. They charged us for the labor of 5 hrs because thats 2 men. On top of that they did a poor job because the system was dripping water and they knew but says to call them back if the drip doesnt stop. Its been over a week and it is still dripping. We complained and called them a couple times and they never called us back. When the manager finally called back he screams and yelled at me not giving me a chance to talk and hung up on me 2x. He claims that they they charge that much because they quoted me between 500 and 1200. I asked him to itemized the charges n ask him to confirm the trip charge and he couldnt, says he dont know. Very poor and bad business service and practice for ripping people off! I dont ever recommend them for services.
