Well I purchased quite a bit of things for my new home from PB. And from the service received at the store to delivery staff everything was wonderful. My order included 6 custom upholstered Balboa chairs and 3 custom upholstered sofas along with lots of other pieces. The big win for me with my white performance upholstery I chose for the custom orders. I am able to unzip and wash the covers. Yesterday, I woke up to bright yellow bile that one of my dogs left me the night prior on three cushions. I simply unzipped the covers, sprayed the spots with oxyclean pre wash and washed on a quick delicate cycle. And poof like magic all gone. Of course I hang to dry and want to mention in less than 12 hours they all were dry and ready to be put back on. I so recommend the performance fabric! It's amazing. read more

I have shopped Pottery Barn over the years and have found their towels, pillows and accessories great and good quality. I have also shopped desks and consoles, table lamps and found their towels quality to be on the par of off shore quality. You will not have the same quality of something from North Carolina. I can not speak to the quality of sofas and chairs. Little hint - anything with .99 at the end of the price is a sale item and can not be returned. I have ALWAYS found the staff helpful, courteous end easy to work with on returns. read more

I ordered some items for Christmas but wasn't satisfied with the quality so I requested to return the items. The issued a return authorization and the items were returned to PB. Not a big Pottery Barn but they still have a good selection. I have always found the staff there to be helpful and accommodating!

I was just in the Pottery Barn in Boise and no sooner had I walked in the door when this women asks me if I have a mask. I said, yes I do thank you. She indicated the store requires I wear one and I said fine. (I was also in JC Penny and they didn't require a mask, nor did Dillard's) I put the mask on turn around so she can see I've put the mask on and walk through the store. I'm looking at duvet covers and the same women goes through the stock door and asks if she can help me in a real bitchy tone. I curtly state I'm looking for duvet covers. I say her her if you are going to harass me I'll leave. She indicated she runs a multi million dollar company (I doubt she is the owner of the chain), I told her she was being ignorant and left. I will never shop at the Pottery Barn again. This type of ridiculous behavior has to stop. read more

I am strongly suggesting not to shop at Pottery Barn for the following reasons. They let their subcontractors drive their business model and their customer satisfaction. They make no accommodations to the customer to ensure they provide timely service. Customers pay a premium for the products provided by this company and are required to wait for delivery long after original due date. POTTERY BARNS subcontractor damaged a chair I was supposed to receive in December 2022 and now they are stating I won't receive a replacement until April 2023. How am I being treated? When I called they didn't tell me it was damaged and I called customer service six times and they said they couldn't help me. In fact, they agreed to call me back and many times did not, including a manager. Really?!? Is that a good business model for a company? Anyway, I'd rather work with a company that does not use their subcontractors as an excuse for poor service and is open and honest with their customers. Very dissatisfied! read more

We ordered 4 pieces of matching bedroom furniture from Pottery Barn on-line (the local store was just reopening for appointment only due to the Coronavirus). The next day an order confirmation email advised us 2 of the 4 items were backordered (no indication was given that the items were not in stock when the order was placed). We decided since not all the items were available, it would be better to cancel the order rather than risk not getting the complete bedroom set. We tried to call Customer Service several times but could not get through after extended wait times. Out of frustration, we phoned the local store. A very helpful person answered and, after hearing the problem, said she would check what she could do. Later that day she called back and explained that the items that were backordered were cancelled, but the items that were in stock could not be cancelled (even though they had not been shipped) until they arrived at the final distribution center. At that time, we can cancel the order rather than have it delivered, but we will still be responsible for the shipping and delivery fees (~ $400). I find it hard to believe that we cannot cancel an order within one day (and that hasn't been shipped) without incurring these excessive charges. read more

I hate big malls and I cannot lie. (Sure, you remember the tune I crib in this opening. :-)) But I really like this Pottery Barn in spite of its' location inside Boise's indoor big mall. Not the largest Pottery Barn I've shopped at but the moderate size doesn't seem to matter since they have ample inventory in items they show, all beautifully staged, on floor. Also there is a design center near the back of the store with a full complement of swatches for fabrics and finishes of furniture if you're going to order from catalog. The sales staff can't be beat for friendly assistance. The manager too who helped one day as I was wondering about. The interior designer working on our home has found even more good options here than I have on my own...she's got a knack for spotting the just right thing. (I think the in store staff also provides home visit interior design help if you are looking for that help on your own for just their store items.) On an occasion or two they've had in store / floor sample sales on furnishings that are short notice, fantastic deals if you're in the market for something on display so keep an eye out for those. THIS N THAT: 1) PARKING: In the mall lot. 2) ACCESSIBILITY: Level in from the mall floor, of course, and all on one level. They do a generally good job of maintaining the ADA required 36" clear in aisleways but room for improvement there. The in store loo is nicely accessible except for too heavy door that they need to adjust. 3) PICK UP TIP: If you know what it is you want and call them to order by phone, they're happy to send the item to the loading dock area so you can pick this up from their exterior dock door saving the hassle of needing to go into and through the mall and schlepp the treasure(s) back out. Interior designers use this service all the time at PB but it is available to all. read more

Terrible customer service. Do not shop with pottery barn. We called to return a chair that we ordered...they said that a transfer company would come pick it up but they never came despite our numerous phone calls. Eight months later, they have charged us for the chair again AND charged shipping and handling AGAIN because they claim that we never returned the chair. NO ONE will come pick it up. ABSOLUTELY awful company to do business with and I will never shop with them again. Absolutely awful. read more

We ended up purchasing a couple sheet sets and a duvet. After almost 2 years, all have held up wonderfully and get softer and softer with each wash. Quality is definitely there and qualifies the prices :) read more

Although I love Pottery Barn products and have been a loyal customer I'm sad to say my experience with the sales associate whom was working this evening put such a bad taste in my mouth I don't know if I'll ever be excited to buy products from this company again, or at the least never step foot in this store again. My husband and I came in with our two very well mannered children to buy two comforters for our guest rooms for our Spring update. We walked in and my child literally mildly leaned against the comforter on the display bed to see how soft it was to which (keep in mind we were all standing next to him and fully aware of what he was doing) he was immediately snapped at by the woman to not touch the bed because it "was too expensive for him to touch." Normally I would express my displeasure to someone who would give such a rude offensive comment to my family member, but I try to display to my children what it means to rise above those whom neglect us. So if management is reading this, please know that because of whomever this sales woman who was guarding the display bed this evening we will no longer be shopping at this location and she single handedly lost over a $1,000 profit to your store. read more

Went to exchange a defective fork (broke in two between handle and tines) with inventory on hand. After waiting fifteen minutes to talk to first available CS rep, she looked at the fork and said she had to discuss with other rep. We both waited for a few minutes, then said she had to get back to another customer. I brought the second CSR up to speed when she became available, and she went to track down first rep. Answer back... unable to exchange, as it was sold as 5 piece setting. I was instructed to buy the setting $45 list, with an addional savings since it was on sale.. No thanks.. not standing behind quality statement!! Should have made it right with me and sent defective fork to manufacturer. Called corporate and new replacement setting on its way.. read more

Smaller store, but I am comparing it to California where I was by the largest store in Roseville, CA. I must say that the people who work here are so nice and I found them very helpful! They can order anything from their store and that credits this local business which I support! read more
