It's not as chaotic as most TK Maxx and everything is organised in a ship shape fashion, you don't need to climb over other shoppers to get to something you think you might like. It was during the day on a Saturday and I was very surprised that it wasn't full to bursting. I managed to find myself a really pretty formal dress which I think I'll wear to my graduation. I also treated myself to a little basket for papers and Uni work. It's really unusual and has a hand made look about it, it's made in a wicker style effect with hardened newspaper entwined into each other, it looks great and was an absolute snip at £5.99!

My favourite time of the year is topping up on stationery for a new term at Uni and they had an excellent range here, again, all very reasonable priced. I purchased two folders for 97p for both, lined paper at 67p and patterned plastic wallets at only 55p! What a bargain. If you're looking for dirt cheap, good quality goodies then Wilkinsons comes highly recommended.

Then I arrive, and can't understand why I was fussed. Peacocks display their best assets in the windows, but once you're in there it can be hard to find anything desirable. Clothes in here often look on the cheap side of cheap, especially their T Shirts. They often have silver writing scrawled all over them from a poorly executed T-shirt transfer, and they look like they're trying too hard to adhere to a trendy gimmick. In most instances, they fail to look "in fashion" entirely. Paul had mention the granny clothing in his review - I don't know why, but this part of the shop is always the most appealing to me. Their knitted clothing looks well made but the men's selection often falls short. It's always worth looking in here in case you find something, but I don't think after all my years of trying I ever have. The comparisons to Primark keep cropping up - not without reason, but for quality and value, Primark hits the mark while Peacocks wavers in its wake.

Well braehead has a lot going for it…read more First off there's free parking ( even some Electric car charge points ), loads of it, some of it is open to the elements and some is undercover in a multi storey structure so where you want to park depends on your preference and the weather. There are loads of high street name shops in the centre, which covers two floors. The centre has changed a lot since opening years ago, with the food court area changing from an all for one area, with very few well known names, to an area with a few big names with their own designated areas. Many shops have come and gone in the years but there is a good mix and it's definitely worth a visit.

It has an excellent accessories section, which for a large part of the year features more hats, scarves and gloves than you have ever seen. (And even better, most of them have that delightful green circle on them that stands for M&S's 'outstanding value' collection). But the jewel on the top of this fabulous department store crown is the homewear section. Almost as good as dedicated M&S homewear shops - this department is big enough to get lost in. In fact, I have had to be rescued a couple of times - but probably just because my boyfriend isn't as interested in matching crockery than I am....

It was much bigger, cleaner and the staff were more attentive. The shelves were stacked tidily and the cafe sold the most delicious hot chocolate. You don't know what you've got until it's gone. A board at the front of the shops is filled with photos from the "Make a Difference" campaign detailing the work the supermarket does to benefit the Drumchapel community.

It has a food hall on the ground floor, with Clydebank's main post office at the back of it. In the actual department store there is a nice wee cafe with free wifi. The store sells everything you can think of. Baby goods, toys, musical instruments, electrical appliances, fancy goods, DIY goods, clothing and book. Worth a visit for a look at the lovely old building alone.

The Co-op also has a small grocery store attached which has a fantastic deli counter. At the back of the grocery store you will also find the post office.
