A Costco for locals if you will, without the need to scoff up membership fees. Stuff is cheap here,…read morewholesale price! And you don't even have to buy in huge bulks! In fact if you're hosting a party and you stumble in here, you're guaranteed to be in kid in a candyshop mode big time! 24 cans of Pepsi Max for a fiver? No problem! Fresh fruit? No problem! You could probably do a month's worth of shopping in daylight robbery like prices. What's more, if you're a raging foodie like me and LOVE eastern cuisine, the place is choc-a-bloc with herbs and spices you won't find anywhere else. Believe me, I've tried! Much like Tesco, they also have a huge frozen food/ refrigerated section where you can buy everything from all sorts of fish and meat to cakes and ice cream (LOTS of ice cream!) My fav section is the savoury and sweet section where they have a huge selection of different types of biscuits and snacks that'll make you the envy of all your friends at a dinner party! All in all if you love cooking (especially Asian cuisine) and hosting, this place is a God send! The variety of herbs and spices on sale will set your imagination and saliva glands racing!

Agreed, this place is ridiculous. Even if everything inside was one pound, as is advertised by the…read moregiant signs, it would still constitute an absolute rip off. This shop will suit you if: (i) You want a 'designer' watch that weighs less than a piece of paper and doesn't tell the time. (ii) You want to see all the worst films ever made in one big pile with no organizing nonsense such as alphabetizing or chronologizing principles. (iii) You are just too calm and want to get stressed out fast. If you don't fit this criteria (you'd be surprised how busy this establishment is) then stay away. Perhaps it would do for a joke present or two, but little else.

This shop annoys me because:…read more 1) It always has 'closing down' signs, but never actually closes 2) It advertises using huge '£1' signs in the window, but hardly anything in there is actually £1 3) It blares horrible loud music out onto Market Street The best deal I spotted in there was a Rubix Cube for £1, but apart from that you can buy awful fluorescent knitwear, dodgy watches, rubbish DVDs, ugly chinaware and snuggle blankets. The signs outside say proclaim that it is going out of business, so hopefully the shop will turn into something useful or cool, but I have a feeling it will remain a terrible cheap shop for years to come. If you want something decent for a quid, then you'd be better off heading to Pound Empire or Quality Save.

B & M is a large company in the UK, with over 400 stores across the country, to the point where…read morethey have made it on the FTSE 250 Index. This particular store is located in Oldham, next to the Tesco on Huddersfield Road, and very close to many fast food chains such as Mcdonald's, Domino's and Subway. The store in particular is quite large, with reasonably narrow isles, which could be hard to squeeze in with prams / wheelchairs, which just ensures they can fit as many items in as possible, although it doesn't seem as much as a jumble sale as Sports Direct, which is something you would expect from a large, discount retailer like this. As this store is part of the "home store" brand of B and M, they don't seem to stock some items stocked in the " bargains" store such as a wider range of drinks including Lipton Iced Tea, which is stocked in the branch at the Stretford mall. The decor of this store is simply very basic, and not the nicest, most modern place, but still for a more discount store, it is unexpected for them to focus on discount, rather than cramming lots of cheaper items into a space. The staff didn't seem too great or sociable, and didn't seem too willing in starting a conversation, being as quiet as watching a Wigan Athletic game until she mentioned a price, that was all. The price for what I bought was reasonable, but I didn't go round closely monitoring the prices, so it would be unfair for me to comment fully on that. They do stock a good range of pet food, and a satisfactory range of most other things, but range on certain items can be a little basic, although it is more "home store" dominated, which I don't feel suits the company at all, rather than the "bargains" brand which has better items.

I am a firm believer in getting defensive when an outsider rips apart things from your home…read moretown, but in the case of Rochdale Exchange Shopping Centre please visit and fill your bile filled boots. Failure to do so will mean it will never change,EVER!!! Phone shops check, pound shops check, sub-standard cup of coffee check, feeble excuse for a market check and enough flammable shell suits to fill an Oxfam on a Tuesday night in Mani. About four years ago Littlewoods went out of business and left a huge empty 2 storey shop in the exchange centre. It is still empty now because of the stupid rates that the Centre owners try to charge people, the Market is dire because of the rates the Centre owners charge. Notice a theme here? The good folk of Rochdale keep being told that we will be soon getting a Debenhams, thanks for that,a shop everybody has had for the last 3 billion years, what's next, indoor toilets???? This is horrible, what started off as a true representation of my sorry excuse of a shopping centre has turned into me considering running in the Council elections. In a post apocalyiptical future when we are all slaves to our Cockroach Overlord Masters I hope to bring you a more favourable review of The Rochdale Exchange Sopping Centre. Until then i'll continue going into what passes for our chain of HMV and weep over the smallest and worst excuse for a Heavy Metal section the World has ever seen.... SOB : (
