I don't think this is a reflection of their entire staff, since I know they are out sources, but man, you guys should really screen your bartenders you hire. A cheery disposition is kinda suppose to be a bartenders MO (especially at a private Christmas party) Last night I experienced a up tight grinch of a bartender, with the biggest attitude ever. I was so taken a back by her lack of basic people skills, that I'm laying in bed the next morning, being forced to write a review. Hire these guys for bartending and wait service for a party we hosted on May 11. We received a call the day prior from both the bartender, BRIAN, and The server, Sloane confirming any special requests or instructions. When they arrived, they were absolutely delightful, and took care of us and our guests throughout the entire event. We couldn't have been more pleased with their service, their attitude, and their professional attire. I'm not too sure about this company, not only because of the bartender (who shouldn't be a representative for the whole company but unfortunately it does take a toll), but because of the service charge I received. I was late to pay my bill because I was being charged $0.20 per person as a service charge on my invoice, and it stated I had 125 people. I only had 50 at my event- and it said the server would receive a "generous proportion" of this charge. So when the guy called for my payment I told him I had opted for a tip jar at the event so she could get tips that way instead of me having to pay for everyone's drink tips. He said that the charge was just wrote like that, and that it was 20% just typical service charge based on my 5 hours of service (which was $125), and that the server gets none of it. I told him they needed to sort that out because it seems they are lying to the customer on the invoice, and it was the reason I was late to pay because I didn't have 125 people at my event. When I first got to my event, my dad asked me if the bartender was drunk. I was so busy and hectic I hadn't noticed her, except she was a bit loud and exaggerated in speech, but I thought that was her personality, and hey it might have been. But after the party a couple of my friends said she seemed out of it, like on scripts or something. She poured heavy drinks and wasn't rude or in the way or drinking or anything, so I didn't care, but with adults around I could understand if the party was uncomfortable. When I told the guy about this on the phone, he said "Ohhhhhh was it the blonde girl" as if it had happened before, and it wasn't a blonde girl. That threw me off a bit. Overall though, the service is VERY easy to set up and get a bartender. Maybe I just had an awkward experience. I'd probably set up an event through them again, and just hope for my professionalism. read more

I have used this company for events multiple times and have had nothing but great experiences! All of the bartenders always call to check in the day of which is a nice touch. During events all of the bartenders have been very helpful and if they were ever slow at the bar they have offered to help with anything I may have needed. I had the flare bartender at my last event and he was a huge hit! I would highly recommend. :) read more

First off, giving them 1 star is being nice. My wife and I were referred to this vender through our venue for our wedding. The venue is no longer affiliated with them due to their lack of customer service. The price for just a bartender wasn't bad, so we booked our date. Shortly after that, no one would return our calls, as we had additional questions about what we needed to pick up in terms of mixers. Mind you, we provided all of the alcohol, drinks, cups, etc. We sent emails, made phone calls and didn't receive anything back. On the day of our wedding, the bartender calls. We were suppose to be speaking with her prior to the wedding and not the day of. After the alcohol was brought into the venue, my wife asked her to use only what she needed and not to open multiples of the same thing. Right after that was said, the bartender opened up ALL of the cubes of beer and placed them on ice and continued to do the same for the rest of the alcohol. smh seriously? After our Ceremony, our wedding party was outside taking pictures. The bartender was serving drinks to people outside, with no regard to the venue's policy: no alcoholic drinks are to be served outside of the venue. Another policy was that no shots were to be served and she was serving shots and double shots before the wedding even started. this company had worked with this venue in the past and knows the regulations involved. During our cocktail hour and reception, she was telling everyone that our wine was horrible, don't drink it. So because of that, not one bottle of wine was opened, which left us with over $350 of wine. A day after the wedding, our family had told us what the bartender had said about the wine. So, we opened the wine and everyone fell in love with it. We took time to make sure we had a good wine selection. My wife was at the bar to get a drink for a relative and the bartender asked if she wanted a drink. My wife said no, I cant drink right now, I have too much going on. The bartender rolled her eyes at my wife. There was no reason for that. She was also making drinks so strong that people were taking them back because they couldn't drink them. None of the condiments for drinks were used, even though people ordered drinks specifically using those items. She didn't bring any bartending tools either, which struck us as odd. The company said the bartender would provide those items. She would disappear for long periods of time and it got to the point where a family member was serving drinks to people who had been waiting. We asked her to put out a tip jar because we told out guests to bring a minimum of $20 for tips, which we know she received the majority of that. We watched her empty the large pickle jar numerous times. At the end of the night, she kept cornering my wife expecting a tip, which is very unprofessional. when my wife and I were discussing her service and lack there of, we decided that the tips she got from our guests was enough; she didn't deserve a tip from us. The bartender was helping my father load up what was left into the trunk of his rental car. Alcohol was placed in there, by her, with no caps. Therefore, the trunk was saturated with alcohol the next morning. She didn't dress formal, as we had asked and didn't measure out ANYTHING while making the drinks. We do not recommend Pour Masters as a bartending vendor. We are still trying to contact Dave to discuss this, but now he is just sending our calls straight to voicemail. read more

It is almost impossible to contact these people. I left multiple voice mails as well as emails with absolutely no response. I was a small event but I feel like they still have an obligation to return phone call. The service was mediocre at best. (You would think a bartender would have a personality?!?!) After the event I left many phone calls inquiring about the bill. No one ever called me back but I did receive an itemized invoice in the mail two weeks later... They charged me a $42 "admin" fee which is ludicrous!!! a $200+ fee for a table with two milk crates on top of it. Needless to say, I will not be using this company again! Rude. Absolutely ZERO customer service. Completely surprised they are still in business. read more

So, i found myself in a HUGE pickle, one week out to an event. I ran into, legal, insurance, government - really any kind of issue you can think of, came my way. Not only did Dave Forman, help me, really he advised me, he made me more knowledgable on exactly what I needed to do, and why. He actually did what he said he would, and in a timely manner. When everyone in the service industry seems to think "urgent" means "whenever I get around to it" - Pourmasters is the opposite.More than that, he was a voice of reason and calm. When planning events, so many things can go wrong, and more often than not, at the last minute. You want someone on your team who will be steady, when you are not. We recently hired Pour Masters for my wedding. And the results were less than stellar. First off they were asked to not put a tip jar out as we didn't want our guests to have to feel obligated to tip. The bartenders went ahead and put a tip jar out anyway, they also hid this tip jar behind a column so my coordinator could not see it and tell them to remove it. Also the champagne glasses were not filled for the champagne toast - there was a last minute rush to get that all done (caterers stepped in to help). I have used Pour Masters for a few business events over the past 10 years. Just had them serve at an important cocktail reception last week. Dave Forman and his team are dependable, personable, professional and kind. Perfect combination. I placed my order with Dave about 6 weeks ago and that was it. No more worries--he has it all handled, a professional all the way. Dave confirmed a couple of days before the event. Seth, a member of his team, delivered the bar, alcohol and supplies for the evening, including drink glasses, water, ice and soft drinks a couple of hours before the reception. Bartender Julie was fantastic. She, too, called beforehand confirming her arrival time. She was dressed professionally and very friendly. The bar was setup perfectly. Guests commented to me on the great service and how nice Julie was--of course, she was pouring the drinks! LOL. I highly recommend Pour Masters for any corporate or personal event.
