You've got a 50% chance of things going well by hiring Party Host Helpers. Our first experience with Dave was phenomenal! He was on time, worked hard and had a wonderful disposition. So good, we decided to have another party the very next week. They assigned Lukus, who never showed up. Very stressful and also costly because there were things I'd purchased for the party that I couldn't do without help that went to waste. I get it, you're depending on people you've hired to do what they say and show up, so it's hit/miss. The 1 star is because at first, Lauren w/Party Host Helpers, seemed concerned and apologetic, called me to say she is looking for someone to help me that night. Of course, there wasn't anyone at that late notice on a Saturday night. That's the last I've heard from them. Now it's been 3 days. No call, no email, no text and NO REFUND of my deposit. It wouldn't have taken much for them to call or email, extend their apologies again, and refund my money. But, they've moved on and clearly don't care. Now I am stuck holding the bag, investing more of MY time to chase my refund. It's a good idea, but you can't count on it and if they fail, you can't count on them promptly processing a refund. *sigh* Never again. read more

This was my first time hiring someone to help with my parties and I will never go back to doing it alone. We did two parties close in time, a beer tasting party and a holiday party. Having a bartender for both and then adding a hostess helper for the holiday party was life changing. These ladies were amazing. Not only were they nice and professional, but they were on point the whole night. Never did I have to ask them to get something done- they'd already done it. They kept an eye on the food and reminded me when the seafood had been out for long enough. They handled the heating the food and replacing empty spots in the food. They also walked around making sure that folks had enough food and drink all night. I loved having them and cannot recommend them enough. I can not say enough about how AMAZING Party Host Helpers were for us during our event! First of all, I reached out to them with less than a weeks notice prior to our event. Shawna was extremely helpful and assured me that they would be able to meet our needs. With minimal notice and continued communication, she and 1 helper showed up to our event on-time, professionally dressed and ready to go! They were extremely friendly and assisted with every task we requested of them including greeting guests, running for more ice, keeping the appetizer table full and presentable, assisting our guests with drinks and meal tickets, keeping trash cans emptied, keeping beverages cold, washing and drying dishes, assisting with clean-up.... and many more. Shawna was AMAZING! I would 100% hire her again. She's a consummate professional. I contacted her 7 days before a ladies lunch at my house. I work full-time and barely even had time to coordinate with her. She was on top of it AND me, communicating as needed and handled things with her own executive decision making that I was 100% ok with. She presented me with different options I wanted for decor and good platters. She made amazing Holiday sangria and flavored water. She came over 1 hour before the event and work fast and efficiently. By the time the guests arrived she had everything set and ready to go. She took so much of the pressure off my shoulders, was SO kind to my guests, always there when needed, but invisible and in the background doing what she needed to keep the drinks flowing, my place clean. She even cleaned up my chafing dishes and put food into Tupperware. The BEST is when she helped my elderly mother in law out to her car and carried her bags for her! Ah! I cannot say enough!
