There is also an area up the street walking distance with a beach pool and restaurants & shops called Beach Club that is owned by the hotel and on my to do list tomorrow.... I will be updating my review for now it's an awesome experience since I've checked in. The only things that don't meet their high standards are the food and the spa. The restaurant buffets and room service menus are disappointing, tasteless and sad. And the spa staff isn't up to the level you would expect from a hotel of this caliber. There's an extensive menu with expensive options for spa treatments, however the staff performing the treatments leave much to be desired. We have stayed here 4 times in the last 2 years, and have seen little to no improvement in the spa and food sectors. We end up ordering take out for our meals when we stay.

The king-sized bed was very comfortable; the room was large and nicely decorated. The restaurant and bar are located near the pool and the whole area is very attractive. All the rooms have a view of the beach. The hotel employees were all very pleasant and helpful. If you need it, the hotel also offers valet parking. My only complaints might be that the air conditioning is a bit noisy and the windows in the room were dirty. Despite that, I would definitely consider staying here again.

The lobby is very attractive and also very modern. The included breakfast is very good and the prices are incredibly reasonable. [0] - Rooms are great. Very clean. Great views. [1] - Facilities are nice. Nice restaurant, good, typical breakfast. [2] - Service is sub-par. No concierge. Front desk people are friendly, and attempt to be helpful - but are quick to over-promise and under deliver. [3] - External. Was unable to get laundry done after multiple attempts. Everyone told me why it could not be done, why day-after-day, it was someone else's problem. [4] - Tours. Had called hotel about tour recommendations prior to staying. None of their recommendations had worked out. After *staying* in the hotel and asking day-after-day, we get different answers about how to do different activities, and whether or not confirmations have been made. FINAL: Recife is beautiful. The staff at this hotel are friendly. It is World Cup, so I know that they are busy, HOWEVER, it is also expensive and there is a persistent avoidance of responsibility from the people we are dealing with.

They have a covered parking lot which is good because the sun is very strong here. Breakfast is included, and was very nice. The check-in was headache-free thanks to Victor. Our room (1608) was very large: it included a bedroom, living room and kitchenette. The big problem was that housekeeping simply did a terrible job in this room. Besides the windows being covered with fingerprints, we found a used bar of soap in the shower. There was only a half-roll of toilet paper and no back-up in the room. There is a rooftop pool and bar. Unfortunately, the bar was unattended, even though they post the hours of operation. I called the switchboard and they told me somebody was on their way up, but after waiting 30 minutes, we gave up.
