They converted 2 adjoining houses into this pousada (they also occupy another building on the opposite side of the street). Parts of the building date back to the 18th Century & they have left much in place, but have updated enough of the space so that you have all the modern conveniences. Our room had a queen-sized bed that was very comfortable; the bathroom was nice. The room also had a loft with a really cute seating area. Our room had a view of the garden and the city of Recife in the distance. All of the employees were friendly and helpful (if not always well-informed about what was and was not open in the town). There is a pool surrounded by a lovely garden with various seating areas. Breakfast, which is included, is served in the hotel´s restaurant (Bistro Flor de Coco, which is open to the public for lunch and dinner). The quality and variety of the offerings were very nice. Parking is available on the street, which is common here, since most of the buildings were constructed before the invention of the automobile. I would definitely recommend this hotel/B&B and would definitely stay here again.

There are many restaurants nearby, as well as shopping and sight-seeing. The hotel has 29 floors with about 130 rooms (some apartments in the hotel are still occupied by owners who were there before this became a Radisson). There were many American & European tourists at this hotel, probably because of the Radisson brand. We stayed in a business king room and while the bed was very comfortable (with a beautiful view of the beach below), the room itself was rather Spartan. I've stayed at other hotels here in Recife that charged less and were more opulently decorated. Also, there were no robes provided in the room and I had to remind them on check-out so as not to charge me for them. For the size of this hotel, the swimming pool was tiny. There is on-site parking available at a fee. Breakfast was included and was simply OK. Thanks to all the hotel employees who excelled at making this a pleasant stay (sorry I forgot their names).

It wasn't the most high end Raddison but for the area it was top notch. Even though i only stayed 2 nights, if i could i would most definitely stayed longer. The WiFi was very good. The elevator was very fun because it was like a tunnel and it had a glass window. my only complaint was that one elevator didn't work going up but that was minor. I loved it here. I stayed in room 2308 from july 5-7.

The included breakfast is very good and the prices are incredibly reasonable. I will definitely consider staying here the next time I am in Recife and I highly recommend this to anyone coming to the Northeast of Brazil--you won't be disappointed!

My only complaints might be that the air conditioning is a bit noisy and the windows in the room were dirty. Despite that, I would definitely consider staying here again.

Front desk people are friendly, and attempt to be helpful - but are quick to over-promise and under deliver. [3] - External. Was unable to get laundry done after multiple attempts. Everyone told me why it could not be done, why day-after-day, it was someone else's problem. [4] - Tours. Had called hotel about tour recommendations prior to staying. None of their recommendations had worked out. After *staying* in the hotel and asking day-after-day, we get different answers about how to do different activities, and whether or not confirmations have been made. FINAL: Recife is beautiful. The staff at this hotel are friendly. It is World Cup, so I know that they are busy, HOWEVER, it is also expensive and there is a persistent avoidance of responsibility from the people we are dealing with.

They have a covered parking lot which is good because the sun is very strong here. Breakfast is included, and was very nice. The check-in was headache-free thanks to Victor. Our room (1608) was very large: it included a bedroom, living room and kitchenette. The big problem was that housekeeping simply did a terrible job in this room. Besides the windows being covered with fingerprints, we found a used bar of soap in the shower. There was only a half-roll of toilet paper and no back-up in the room. There is a rooftop pool and bar. Unfortunately, the bar was unattended, even though they post the hours of operation. I called the switchboard and they told me somebody was on their way up, but after waiting 30 minutes, we gave up.

And the spa staff isn't up to the level you would expect from a hotel of this caliber. There's an extensive menu with expensive options for spa treatments, however the staff performing the treatments leave much to be desired. We have stayed here 4 times in the last 2 years, and have seen little to no improvement in the spa and food sectors. We end up ordering take out for our meals when we stay.
