This will be a great place for grocery shopping since the area has been a "food desert" ever since Fred Meyer closed a few years ago. Sprinkled in between and in the parking lot is an LA Fitness, and a US Airforec, Navy, Army and Marine Enlistment office. There are several restaurants, too. For fast food there is Jack in the Box, Izzy's Pizza, Subway, Starbucks and Happy Terriyaki. There may still be a Wings place. On the end by Walmart is H.K. Cafe, the best dumplings and dim sum in Portland, no question. Strangely, this plaza is home to lots of financial posts and services: US Bank, Bank of America, H&R Block, Post Office, Providence Medical, and dental, insurance and chiropractic offices. In the back is a Cinemax Theatre, a relic representing the pre-Covid life that many of us miss. Never thought going to a movie theatre would no longer be an option. It's a mediocre shopping center as illustrated by the stores. It's a place I go for a particular purpose, like I need some new bathroom towels at Ross or I need jewelry supplies at Joann's. It's not a place you drive by and feel like you hit the jackpot with several great stores all in one location. However if you keep driving on SE 82nd, you will come across several other strip malls and stores so you can check off lots of errands in one general area.

I was specifically hoping to find boots and/or a jacket. On top of having an entire floor full of clearance jackets, they also had about a dozen racks under tents outside of the store. It seemed like they probably had every Columbia jacket that had been made within the past few years. There was also a ton of Mountain Hardware and Sorel. The Mountain Hardware jackets were about 25-50% off, which was still significantly cheaper than REI or anywhere else that I know of. I ended up feeling so overwhelmed by the jacket selection that I decided I needed to do some research, and come back. I ended up leaving with two pairs of snow boots: 1 Columbia, and 1 Sorel. I got both pairs for $55, including tax and a very small roundup for the National Park fund. I've been looking for boots for a couple of weeks, and the cheapest I've found comparable boots anywhere else was anywhere from $69-129. So, I was beyond stoked to find two pairs I liked in the clearance section. They were also having a store wide BOGO half-off sale, which is how the total ended up so low. I didn't have, and have actually never had any of the issues with outlet stores that other people brought up in their reviews. I used to work at the outlets in Folsom. Most of the merchandise isn't damaged or defective-- it's just overstock or barely out of season. The boots that I purchased are honestly of similar quality to brand new boots from DSW. I just got really lucky (and have a seventh sense for when things will be on sale due to all my years of working in retail). Staff was super friendly and helpful. Overall a great experience and I would definitely shop here again.
