Don't come here expecting anything fancy but the staff is extremely kind and it's a place you can truly kill an hour+ and not break the bank. Great deal on spending 10 dollars for 13 tokens which gives you a couple hundred balls to hit against. Honestly a great place to kill time and practice your hitting. I'm no Derek Jeter but I still have a really great time. Again, don't expect it to be luxury. You are getting what you pay for but that's almost the charm of this place. I've never had to wait on the weekends and I genuinely love coming here to escape life and take my mind off things. They have complimentary bats so you can come here literally whenever you want. You can also practice cricket here but for that you'll need your own bat. Overall, good experience to enjoy a few hours and get your mind off things. Love the staff and facilities here!! read more

My daughter has been going to Power Swing since she was 5 and she's now 9 almost 10. Great batting cages, great clinics on the weekends, tunnel rentals and great staff. My 1 complaint is the PARKING! The parking lot needs to be expanded somewhere, where I don't know but the parking is a problem. Cars/trucks/SUV's parked in tiny spots and even in the handicap spots which I think there may be 2? I felt so bad for a father/son who had to park on the street far from the complex. Big Props to the maybe 8 year old son for pushing his father to their handicap van. The street gets so tight since vehicles park on both sides of the street and traffic gets backed up with vehicles trying to get by. PLEASE DONT'T PARK at any other parking lots for adjoining businesses you WILL be towed. JERKS at the other business LOVE to call Bexar Towing on everyone parking in "their" lots. read more

The place is to practice hitting balls. It's not fancy. Tip: Don't come around 6-7pm, the sun will be in your face and it can get hot. There are places to sit while your waiting for your turn. Lots of parking but there are potholes. They also sell snacks at a vending machine and have drinks for sell. Bathrooms are separated, men and women. My son comes here with his team to practice batting. We have come by ourselves a couple of times too. They have different speeds 30 40 50. The place could use a little cleaning. Prices are good. They have bats, helmets and batting gloves available. read more

Seems like this place needs an updated review... The employees are professional and friendly. The facility needs an update and some refurbishing in a major way. It is kid friendly, but don't let them stray too far away. There is old, rundown equipment laying around; especially walking over to the softball cages. A large percentage of the cages were out of order on my visit. It wasn't crowded so it wasn't a problem. The netting needs a lot of work and the property needs a lot of attention. The machines pitch as advertised, but a lot of the standby or "wind up lights" are out of order. The faster cages are harder to time the swing but not impossible. Token operated machines; simple and effective. Lots of space to do other things than swing a bat in a cage; fielding, pitching, etc. Bottom line: great, friendly staff; sub-par but functional facility; the place needs an update and a cleaning....I'd go back, but I may try other places a little farther away before I do. This place has been around for decades, so it will probably be around the next couple. read more

Good prices for batting cages. Weekend clinic 1030-12p is awesome. Coaches really nice and keep everyone involved. Better and more personable than DBat coaches in my opinion. My son went to summer camp at DBat, got hurt and asked for a bandaid (he was 7). After DBat coach made fun of him for needing a band-aid, he never got him one. We were done. The people who run the place work with multiple leagues, and are very generous people. They have a lot of baseball knowledge for all age groups, and are genuinely there to help the kids out. They offer clinics for a small cost on sundays, which are beneficial to kids who are looking to improve their game. Not too bad, not too good. I think its the price that kept me from giving it to a 2 star review. 10 dollars for 13 tokens. Each tokens gets you around 15 balls. I say around because it was not very consistent. Most of the time 4 of the 15 balls were un-hittable because they dropped very short. Some of the machines seemed to work much better than the others so when one of the better slow pitch machines opened up, we jumped on it. It was much more consistent with getting it in the strike zone but still dropped a few balls short of the plate. One machine ate two of our tokens but the staff gave us replacement tokens so it was more of an inconvenience than anything. I will be going back. read more

The batting cages have been our second home for a while now since my kiddos enrolled in baseball. Powerswing is one of our favorite places to go. The employees get the job done and do a pretty good job of explaining what to do. Only downside is when we do go in the evenings after school/work - it gets a little busy and there is usually a wait for the machines. In addition to that, some of the machines are not working which means there are cages not being utilized and it's a real shame because when it gets busy - it would help out tremendously if all of the machines worked correctly. Overall, we enjoy it here and we will continue to come here since it's the closest location for our family! :) read more

$10 gets you 13 tokens each worth 16 pitches. Baseball speeds of 35 MPH to 70 MPH. Also had about a half dozen slow and fast pitch softball. Occasional issues with machines eating your coins or not having enough balls. Many balls were slightly damaged and there were erratic when thrown. There was a food window but I've never seen it open. Only a drink machine (fully stocked) and a candy machine (empty). read more

The guy at the counter was friendly. My boyfriend and I play softball so we were here to get some extra practice. One side is for baseball and one side is for softball. We choose softball and the first machine we put our money into didn't work. So I called the guy and told him and he said he would send someone out. No one ever came. So we moved to another cage. That one worked really good and we used it the rest of the night. They have bats you can borrow for hitting. It was just dumpy and needs some work. read more

Remember when you were in grade school and all you would get is letter grades... Well I would have to give this place an N which stands for Needs For Improvement. This place has potential but it is going to take some time I think. They do have alot of batting cages (Softball and Baseball). We experienced several problems with a couple of the machines. Either the machine just wouldn't throw any balls at you or if it did throw balls they wouldn't reach the cage you were standing in. As for the baseball batting cages they range from 30mph to 80mph which is good for kids all the way up to your more skilled hitters. This is the first time I had been to the batting cages in a while so I was a little disappointed but I would go back to this place just for the practice and because there are limited options. read more

About half of the softball machines either misfire or shoot the ball 2 inches off the ground. The employees are well aware of this and will not disable the machines, make repairs, or refund your tokens. When they see customers using those machines, they will make themselves scarce. I've told them about the malfunctioning machines on three different visits. The kids working there have one place they can hide from the owner in the softball area and text away on their cell phones. One of them is so oblivious he'll walk out into the hitting area while people are swinging at ball. I came about a foot away from accidentally braining him... yet he does it every time I've been. The patrons aren't much better, had one of them "accidentally" pick up my cell phone after he watched me take it out of my pocket and set it down. Wow, what a welcome change! I have not been to this facility in about 3-4 years. I was the only one at the batting cages last time I went and I realized why when the pitching machine kept misfiring and the balls were torn up. Came back at the suggestion of a friend and was impresssd. The new owners put a lot of love and money into this facility. Had a great experience here and the prices are incredible. You pay half what you pay at other facilities for the same type of equipment. Get out here before the secret is out. read more
