I truly think it's the best place in Richmond for kiddos 2-5. I wish my kids could go here forever. We are so thankful for the amazing staff and incredible care at this school. The kids get to learn by playing, being around other children both older and younger than them, different rooms set up for them, and the year is sort of made by the kids interest, they play outside, parents can volunteer and see how the days go, and we know all the kids and their families. It's a very safe, welcoming, and comfortable space to be. Couldn't recommend it more!

Both of our kids gained invaluable knowledge, experiences, and skills that went above and beyond a "typical preschool". Everything from the compassionate and creative teachers to the incredible daily communication and numerous family events the school hosted were all top notch. Our family truly couldn't have asked for a better early education for our children. While we'll miss going to RAMPP everyday now that our youngest is moving on to elementary school, the solid foundation our kids received is a permanent part of their lives forever. Thank you RAMPP! Cheers to many more years of satisfied families and children who are more than ready to start their formal schooling.

I get a report every day about his eating, sleeping, diaper changing, and various activities he's done through out the day. I call EVERY single day, and the principle Sara is super nice, and always give me a snap shot of what my son is up to. She told me I can call as many time as I like, she's super supportive and understanding. They update the app often so I can see the pictures of my son doing his little activities. Infant 1 only has 2 teachers, so there was only 8 children. They had a system, somehow whenever, I come, it was nice and quiet, and the children look BIG, clean, and content. Their curriculum is great, they'd tell us what we are working on with our son so we can also implement at home also. We're going to have more children, and I'd send them here too so we can go through we their programs. I like how there are 200 acres of wood Park right behind the school so the children would get fresh air circulating around.

My son was privileged to have Ms Amanda of the intermediates and also Ms Tori. They are an awesome team Tori took him in as her own and loved him. They were both so patient and loving!! He is now in pre k with even more vetted teachers one of whom had been there since 86. Ms. Tucker is extremely hands on with her curriculum and we get updates as far as activities my son participated in. She challenges him to make him better with retaining his lessons. He has made friends and I'm able to see him active and engaged each day on the playground and in class. My son has sensory setbacks, so my fear was always leaving him alone and being away. Since having him there, I don't want him ANYWHERE else. Bobbie and Sarah are amazing Directors and have both been so so accommodating. All of those ladies are like family. It's really touching to me during a time when childcare is hard to come by and undervalued at times, they always ensure my little boy is okay. That he is learning and not left in the shadows or ostracized. I'm forever grateful for the staff there. Thank you all!! I Absolutely recommend as a phenomenal facility to send your child!

Why? because, she knew how to think around a problem, how to make an object if needed, how to work on a team, and how to listen to what the teachers had to say. 1) in 8th grade RWS students learn coding and they use computers, in fact, most Waldorf school grads are well above their peers in math and science, Why? because they know the beauty and why of math, not just the memorization of rote SOL questions. 2) Waldorf educated children write beautifully, they fall in love with verse, song and poetry early and are used to reciting and reading in public. 3) They can actually MAKE something, food, sewing, drawings, music, woodworking. Try teaching a group of college students at the nations top ranked school of art and design to make something.....I wish they were all Waldorf grads. 4) Waldorf students were a valued part of a class and school family, their voices were heard and respected, and they in turn hear others. They are unafraid to stand up to bullying or injustice. They do not judge others as less than worthy. Waldorf students are compassionate, they have not been hardened by a grinding rote school process with social dysfunction and cliques. Waldorf may not be for everyone, if your child has certain learning needs requiring support that only a big school system has, it won't be the answer for you. If you need constant support of your needs and to helicopter, it won't work for you, and it might just not fit your family, and that's ok, if it does work for you, embrace it!

What drew me to RWS was their philosophy around educating the whole child. The skills that children learn in a Waldorf program are designed to build a healthy, educated whole individual. You can teach a child very specific skills at any school. Waldorf is helping to develop and nurture children's natural curiosity which is something that can't be found in a textbook. A curious child that is nurtured becomes a life long learner. Not everyone is familiar with the Waldorf education and it's fundamentals.
