They did not inspect our chimneys prior to installation despite a site visit and did not recommend any safety measures (inspection by experts, alarms, vents, repairs to chimneys). They were also rude and offhand when we brought the matter to their attention after a 7k spend. My parents also had them out to quote for an installation before we discovered how poor their service was and they were given a price that was literally double what the fire ended up costing. Avoid at all costs.

I find the service very personal in Nora's. You're the only person there when you have an appointment. The range of glasses is excellent starting at about €50 for a pair of frames up to a few hundred if you prefer a designer pair. The thing that costs the most in an opticians anyway is the lenses for your glasses. What I especially like about Nora Wickham's is that when you are choosing new frames Nora will let you take a box of approximately ten frames home with you to try on at your leisure and drop them back within a few days after you have decided on the style. Which means no rushing my decision while in the shop. Of course I'm assuming she may do this only after you've been coming to her as a regular.

The tables are dotted in amongst the bookshelves, which may sound lovely but when you're having an intimate chat with your little sister and other customers are nosing around, it tends to stilt the conversation. Quick book review: It was so bad that I skipped ahead to the sex scenes and they even turned me off so I didn't finish. I think I'd better stop writing now coz your mind's in the gutter.

It's a small, cosy pub with one bar, a pool table, and darts boards, which gives it a real local charm and a relaxed, friendly feel. It's now my regular spot, especially on Friday nights where the karaoke and bingo create such a fun, lively atmosphere. There's always great energy, plenty of laughs, and a brilliant mix of people. I've met some fantastic people there and made great friends along the way. What really makes Goldsmiths stand out is the people behind the bar. Keith, the landlord, is an absolute gent--he runs the place brilliantly and makes everyone feel genuinely welcome. Rachel, the barmaid, is just as fantastic--always smiling, friendly, and great for a chat. Between them and the rest of the staff, the service is top class.
