Exquisite! Truly was a beautiful garden and a wonderful visit. Walking through the breathe taking gardens made it feel as though you were walking with king's and queens of the olden days. Beautiful architecture, marvelous gardens and greens, perfectly semetrical stone and pebble decor, topped with exquisite fountains and various gardens and passageways to enjoy. The shops on the inside are way over priced, but your tour begins with a 8 minute video of the history. Pick up an audio set to listen to the audio tour guide explain facts about the site. Some of the extras that are easy to miss, you just have to venture around a bit was the puppy cemetery, royal gardens, a Japanese garden with passageways and even a pepperpot tower you can climb with real canons! Loved this spot, you can see sugar loaf mountain in the distance and all the beautiful Irish green surrounding your view. Must make a trip of it if you can! read more

If you are in the area, do not miss this!!! It is a private estate and gardens that you can tour. It is absolutely unbelievable! You cannot imagine the amount of beauty and well taken care of gardens and buildings. There is quite a bit of walking involved but it is on a paved path. There is even an abbreviated path that is great for strollers and wheelchairs. A nice little café is the perfect spot for lunch or a snack with a wide variety of sandwiches and pastries. The area is well laid out and easy to see. Staff are friendly and helpful. read more

Somewhat overrated, the grounds are nice enough but the insane price of very average sandwiches is disappointing.

That was on of my favorite places in Ireland. When I visited there, the weather was beautiful! I would say that every season they show you different face so you can enjoy visiting whole year. I didn't have enough time to look around so I will go over early next time! And people were having wedding party so I would recommend for it as well. :) read more

This is our second visit to Powerscourt and this place does not disappoint. Excellent food, great staff in a beautiful setting. My wife and I would have loved to stay on this trip but its a short business turn around trip. We just came for dinner this time, but stay a couple of nights if you can afford it. The steaks are to die for. Go for dinner, some wine and a walk with your loved one. Truly special........ read more

Fabulous gardens - really enjoyable walk - easy to manage with or without a pushchair. Great teas (slightly pricey) - Avoca gift shop.
