As someone who spends most of the day sitting at my desk, I developed an SI joint disfunction, which caused me back & leg pain and discomfort for over a year. This hindered my workouts and any other physical activity that I love doing. I tried to fix it myself, and then went to the Chiropractor with minimal results. Luckily someone recommended Mark to me, because after the first session with him there were instant and lasting resulting. Mark starts off with an initial physical assessment, where he identifies the source of your problem (not just the symptoms!). After identifying the issue(s), he utilizes various forms of therapy (depending on your needs) to fix the problem. (e.g. massage, trigger point therapy, joint manipulation, etc). Following your appointment(s), Mark will prescribe exercises to do at home that will continue to advance your rehab results. In terms of price, I found Mark to be more affordable than the Chiropractors I had recently seen. His sessions are comparable to the price of a massage. But truthfully, when it comes to your physical and mental health, you should never be a cheapskate, especially when you are getting great results. I routinely go to Mark for 'maintenance' on my body, because just like a car, your body needs work from time to time, especially if you taxing it constantly. Bottom line: If you want results, this is the place to go. No one should be suffering from chronic pain and discomfort (especially if you're young!).

Finally a friend suggested that I go visit Mark for some trigger point needle therapy. I was skeptical at first because of the needles but also desperate enough to find a solution because I could not run the way things were with my piriformus issue. After only a few sessions with Mark I was able to return to running and even set a new personal record. He is very knowledgeable and experienced working with athletes. Enter Fitness Together. I appreciate the private workout stalls so much so no one can see each other and that I can workout truly in an individual setting. The coaches tailor each workout to my level keeping in mind any injuries (I have a weak psoas on one side) so they adapt the workout specifically for me. Everyone has been super friendly and the nutrition coaching even is adapting to my weird dietary stuff (I bet they hate working around GF, DF and low FODMAP). I really appreciate my time there and look forward to it every week which has decreased my stress level! The accountability is key to get me there- the online programs with Daily Burn and Peloton just don't cut it when I'm stressed and busy so I have to have it on the calendar so I don't flake on someone. :)

They also know when yo push or back off which I appreciate. The owners - Sarah and Scott - have been great at getting me scheduled and being flexible when life happens. I had a couple different issues that I wasn't quite sure how to handle... My lower back was really hurting since June and for some reason my right big toe hurt when I bent it a certain way (but the other big toe didn't hurt). I couldn't bend my back backwards as much as I used to (not just age related). I didn't want to go to a regular physician because I generally find those visits useless, but then I overheard a friend say he loved his chiropractor. I decided to try it. Yelp and Google helped me to Dr. Anderson. He has a bad photo (sorry doc) but don't let that deter you. He has a lot of paperwork for you to fill out, but don't let that deter you. The front staff/assistants are the nicest people and remember you. And the doc ain't bad either. He was very thorough with his questions and explanations . I was a little dubious of his examination due to how quick it was. A few little clicks of the adjuster later and he's asking me to come back like another 12 times! I was a little appalled... But I'm a compliant person so I scheduled the next exam a couple days later. 24 hours later, I was raving to my partner and all my coworkers how I'm a believer of chiropractics. "Life-changing" is how I described it. It's the only reason why I'm continuing all my follow-ups, I just feel so much better. Flexibility is key to the dance and sports I do, so I'm really glad I can continue to enjoy these activities. While I do recommend Dr. Anderson, if you're new to chiropractics, I would find an office that's convenient to you because I did not expect this many visits. Just a little PSA from a new convert.
