This was not a couple of droppings in the corner, the entire floor, the tops of boxes, inside containers were all covered in mouse droppings. I reported it to the office attendant. He said they would sweep it up and set out a couple of traps. He was very unsympathetic or caring about our situation. We have three king size mattresses and box springs, numerous items of bedding, towels and other fabrics in the unit. They obviously covered themselves in the contract, but at least give a damn about our situation. $300 a month for two years and they will do nothing for us. We purchased insurance, but everything will be prorated and we will get very little compensation. When we ask to speak to a supervisor, the kid on the phone says" I am the supervisor". With our unit being infested, I'm pretty sure there are multiple units also infested as well. If you have items stored at Meathead, I would suggest you go inspect it. We are extremely disappointed with Meatheads attitude toward this issue, their unwillingness to contact anyone higher up, and basically their "we are not responsible" attitude. I'm sure this can happen at any storage facility, but for Christ's sake, at least act like you care.

They don't take their business seriously! They have no problem taking the monthly fees without making sure they're providing a clean environment for all your personal items.

I adopted Elaina (Jack Russell/Chihuahua) on February 9, 2026…read more I was told that there was no history on her. I'm pretty sure she was abused probably by a man because she's scared to death of my son. She's still skittish with me sometimes. The collar and harness she came with were too loose and she escaped five minutes after I got home. She ran up on the freeway. Luckily, a kind driver managed to catch her and returned her to Woods. I thought I would never see her again. She was lucky she didn't get run over and I'm lucky to have her back. I bought an escape proof harness and put a different collar on her which I made sure was snug enough to not slip over her head. I almost brought her back, thinking she would never warm up to me, but I'm glad I didn't. She scared to death of a leash or anything like the collar and harness. She finally warmed up to our other dog and they play all the time. She is very playful with me when she's not scared. It just takes a lot of patience when a dog like this. Woods must have known she was an escape risk because at Woods carried her out to my vehicle. Any other time I have gotten a dog from the shelter, I always took the dog out the door and to my vehicle. I just wish they could have warned me. It almost caused her to get killed on the freeway.

Then we adopted a cat from them, their cat room is amazing. So nice to get out there and be able to actively interact with multiple cats and meet one that fits you. We now have adopted another dog from them. It is great that they keep getting animals from other shelters and adopting them out. Our new dog had some stomach issues, but everything was clearly disclosed on the records and they send you home with everything you could need. The free vet check is a really nice plus. We look forward to joining the classes for our new dog once she is fully healthy and cleared to go. We enjoy supporting them through donations as well because they do such a great job.

The first time I came in just to change my pedals- after using every tool at their disposal, they couldn't get the old one off, but they pointed me toward a great used part at a very fair price and helped me install it. They also walked me through checking my bolts and lubricating everything that needed it. My most recent visit was for a tune-up after a rear tire replacement and a few months of riding -- my shifting was a mess, and it turned out there were several things contributing to it. The team was thorough, knowledgeable and it's clear they genuinely love helping people learn to work on their own bikes. Highly recommend!

At this church,, the theology is sound, it's bible- centric, and the preaching is good…read more However, you really don't want to go to this church for marital counseling. Unless you want to destroy your marriage. I've been at this church for 22 years. The cult like behavior didn't rear it's ugly head until 2012. My wife and I had marriage difficulties. The pastor at the time of our "Five Cities Campus", Ben Collins, instructed my wife to submit to a 'marriage counselor" named Mark McKinney. Mark identified (after taking $175 an hour) as a "sex addiction therapist". Not in any way a marriage counselor. He hangs in his office a "Stanford" in degree which I was told is deceipt. At best, he took one online class at Stanford. That is not near nor enough to qualify as graduating from Stanford. But he saw it was fit for me to submit to a lie detector test of everything I considered shameful from the time I was 4 years old. $175 an hour, $400 an hour for his friend that submitted us to then lie detector test. So, to the point. He told my wife that she was a victim of sex addiction. Even though we hadn't had sex in 6 years. At $175 an hour. He convinced her that the only way our marriage could survive would be for her to submit to a lie detector test to all of the shameful acts since 4 years old. At no time did he tell us that it would be equal and fair for her to submit to the same process. Only me. A wise person at the time counseled me at the time... that anything between me and God since four years old, as a child, was between me and God. They were right. Several doctors along the way:My psychiatrist. My psychologist.. my therapist...my family, my friends, my mother, my father... warned me that this would not be constructive to my marriage....but Mark McKinney, the person that SLO Grace referred us to... Was Mark McKinney. He made arguments to my wife that this is the only way to save my marriage.. and .the only hope of saving my marriage was to submit to the lie detector test. So what happened next? They forced me into a lie detector test. How? By threatening our marriage. He convinced my wife to not submit to the the lie detector, only me! Due to his influence, and directions my wife told me she would divorce me if I didn't go through the (eventually destructive) lie detector test. To reiterate, As a result of this "church" programming, she informed me that under the advice (that Ben Collins and Mark McKinney) that she should divorce me if I didn't submit to the lie detector test. I sought the advice of professionals, and they were overwhelmingly unanimous that this wouldn't be constructive to my marriage, but rather, destructive. Mark McKinney also convinced my wife that I was not to touch my penis except to urinate. I'd gone to Bible school from Kindergarten through High school, so I knew the scriptures. I knew all of the verses he was quoting in our session, he inserted curse words into then Bible. Becoming a "sexual addiction therapist", I would later learn, takes only a few weeks of online education. Anyone can become one, No real education required. So....I submitted to the lie detector test. The result? I became so stressed out during the lie detector test that my heart rate elevated to 200 beats per minute ( the norm is 65). I had to go the French Hospital ER and incurred a $9,000 bill. And what of Mark McKinney? He admitted that he had no training/experience to save a marriage (only to blow it up) to help us. He couldn't counsel us anymore after his buddy got a $400 kickback on the lie detector test. And after he'd taken us for over $1,000. He also refused to see me as a client anymore because and I quote 'My wife wrote a successful book" and I don't need to see clients anymore". So before you seek marital counseling from this church, be very, very careful. I've been seeing an actual professional psychologist since this ridiculous "Mickey Mouse" episode at Grace SLO. He had an obvious question: In the interest of equality, why didn't your wife also submit to the same lie detector test about all shameful things since she was 4 years old? The answer: The charlatan Mark McKinney makes far more money convincing wives they are innocent of all in a relationship, and instead indulge in a husband taking a ($400) lie detector, and $175 per hour to comment on the whole thing.

A Big Dose Of Joy…read more.... My wife and I have always been big fans of farm animals. Cows, goats, horses, sheep. By and large, they're some of the sweetest beings on earth. Fortunately, we've got several sanctuaries nearby which provide much needed care for abandoned, abused and/or neglected animals. One such place is the Rancho Burro Donkey Sanctuary about 10-15 minutes northeast of the village part of Arroyo Grande. A group of 5 made arrangements with the owner, Jim Eckford, to tour the property and visit their residents during a late Thursday morning. Set in the foothills of the coast range amidst ranches and vineyards, Rancho Burro is a sight to behold. The grounds are gorgeous, facilities very well maintained and you feel as if civilization is far away...although, of course, it's actually nearby. Jim and his wife, Carlen, along with a few employees and several volunteers, make a home for 11 donkeys and 1 burro (a cross between a horse and donkey). Forget any negative myths you might have about donkeys. After giving you the "smell test", these guys and gals could not have been more friendly. During the hour we spent in their corral, Jim gave us a quick lesson in the history of each donkey and encouraged us to get up close and personal. Just like people, they all had a different personality. However, the common denominator was an undeniable sweetness. The sanctuary is a not-for-profit 501c(3) organization and relies on grants and donations. Besides private tours like our group of 5, they also host larger ones such as a girl scout troop scheduled for later that same day. If your heart appreciates a shot of pure joy, check out the Rancho Burro Donkey Sanctuary. You'll never consider donkeys in the same way.
