They agreed and attached the chain to a winch that is built into the front of the truck and pulled them out no sweat. These guys are very nice and their price for this job was very reasonable. All the other guys who wanted the work wanted to rent a stump chewer and charge me a LOT. These guys listened and took my advice. I will call them again if in need of their services.

I am updating my review from November 18th regarding my deck. This deck won't pass inspection…read more There are no concrete footings only dirt. there are no joist hangers around 2x10 joist.no double band on edges of deck on 2 sides, only a single notch on 6x6 for deck to rest on (should be double), 6x6 posts have no concrete footings only dirt around them, no carriage bolts at top of 6x6 posts to hold to deck band, no post to support upper left of staircase, numerous screws missing on composite materials, the support posts are too short so they hammered pieces of 2x4 stacked to fill in the space between post and deck they left nails hanging where original porch was removed. The railings they put around the deck are coming apart. They left exposed wood on stairs. They never addressed any of my concerns. Just kept saying it was all my fault. They were supposed to come out and level up our yard because it's a hill. Then the deck. They showed up and started the deck and when questioned they said the do the deck first then level up the yard. Nothing I said did any good. They had conned my husband who has dementia out of $16,000. From that point forward they picked out the materials they wanted to use, I asked for metal railings like the rest of my house. I had asked for a written contract and never got one. When I called and asked for my contract, what was sent to me wasn't what I asked for and brought that to their attention. They just kept doing what they wanted and kept saying it was all my fault. We ended up with about a $6,000 deck built with cheap materials by people who knew they were ripping off a man with dementia. Now I am going to talk to the District Attorney about possible fraud, reporting this to the state licensing board, reporting the fraud to the FTC and the Better Business Bureau. I recently received an updated bill stating they would take $1,000 off for not putting the hot tub on the deck (reinforcing a deck for a hot tub requires an engineer to take into account the size of the tub plus the weight of the water), and $5,000 off for the problems they caused. That would leave me owing them another $10,000. Total for a deck that would hold a hot tub would be $32,000. They also stated that the $6,000 discount was only good if I pay the bill immediately and if not I would still owe them $16,000. What kind of person takes advantage of a 72 year old man with dementia. The sad part is they now think they got away with it! The actions stated above have already begun. I am still contacting the media. They should never be allowed to do this to anyone else. My new rating for them is FRAUD.
