They have a sign up saying they aren't racist (segregation signs not racist???) and that people want to collect them because they're historical. I know that they're trying to say that they aren't racist and that they're just selling them because people want them, but it doesn't change the fact that these are racist items. If it's about history, donate them to a museum. I have a hard time believing anyone who isn't racist would want these items. It is disappointing to see them prioritize a small selection of racist items for those collectors rather than realizing that removing them would make more people feel welcome in the store. It is a truly incredible antique store with so much to offer, but we won't be back because of this.
