Prices are insane here. I can understand that vintage and old things are costly but still normal cap for $60?? Lot of collection from old American culture. Even Harley based many items here. Old boots , caps , jackets, racing helmets from 100 years ago. Stuffs like that. Visit only if you have enough cash to spend on vintage items. read more

Not sure why people are being so picky about this store. It's vintage. They do the work to curate these amazing goods and rightfully so should be allowed to put the price they want! If you're not happy with the price you can go do the curating work yourselves. We stopped by here on our SW CO road trip were bummed to find the store is closed on Sunday. We saw a beautiful vintage ski boot bag in the window and thought it was worth a try to IG message them to see if they were in town. Surprisingly the owner replied back super fast and said she'd meet me in 10 minutes! The owners were on their way out to grand junction to pick up goodies for their store and were happy to turn around to let us in. We shopped around really quickly and ended up only grabbing the ski boot bag. Here's the thing I think they do a beautiful job curating and shopping for her store products. They have a theme and quality that they look for and it's very clear. She shared that they often drive all around the state, four corners area, and Wyoming to estate sales to get these items. She was even able to tell me where she found the bag! That is why you pay a "higher" price for her store. Our bag was $45 and for something so unique I think it was fairly priced. Love love this store. I'll definitely be back each time when we are in Durango. What a sweet couple! read more

Visited this establishment 10/25/24 looking for a Hudson Bay blanket. My husband and I were looking at a blanket we thought was a twin or double Hudson Bay and noted it had multiple stains and what appeared to be black dog or cat hair. The price was $195 and said it was dry cleaned. While my husband and I were talking we heard a voice from a woman sitting at the counter say " That's not dog hair". "I had it dry cleaned." Oh, I said it has black hair all over it let me show it to you. She said " I am not going to argue about it." I told the woman, I don't want to argue either. So, as I was walking towards the counter this woman says , and I quote, " I am so sick of people's bullshit." I set the blanket on the counter and told the woman, look I am a nurse, I take care of people I came into this store to do business not argue. She said " I don't care who you are." She also let me know the blanket wasn't a Hudson Bay. I told her she was charging Hudson Bay prices. I turned around and tossed the blanket back on the table and left the store. Folks, when you've been on this earth 65 years you would think you might deserve to be treated with some respect! My husband and I are not bums or trouble makers and we weren't bad mouthing her or her merchandise. This woman was heavy set, long blond hair, handsome face and exhibited one of the foulest attitudes I've ever encountered at a business. She comes across as a miserable human being who hates her job as indicated by her "sick of people's bullshit" comment and has no business interacting with the public. If black hair is a common feature of this Hudson Bay style blanket or if the other blankets on the table shedded on it she could have explained this instead of interjecting herself into our conversation than becoming verbally offensive for absolutely no reason. You have to be very comfortable in your position (owner?) to actually cuss at a customer. I have NEVER encountered this type of behavior from a store employee/owner! Her behavior was very inappropriate, unprofessional and totally uncalled for!! read more

This store is absolutely unique in the vintage, quality, one-of-a-kind merchandise offered. I was in town for 72 hours and on my last day of traveling I was hoping to stop in for a browse, however, it was a Memorial Day Monday and the website said they were closed. I had zero intention of making my way inside but after leaving a local coffee shop and driving past an 'open' sign I was so happily surprised they were open! The owner, not so happy. I was chipper to be so lucky they were open on my way out of visiting Durango, the owner just seemed annoyed and never asked if I needed assistance. We've had a couple nice experiences here. Not especially helpful or friendly but with a nice collection of unique high quality finds. Be prepared for high price tags. I'm disappointed that my last two times in here the same woman was working. She completely ignored me and was playing fundamentalist preaching over the store's computer loud enough that I could listen from inside the dressing room over the store's music. It spoiled the atmosphere of a fun afternoon of shopping. Ah well. I saved a lot of money and I wish them success. If the young dapper fellow is working, it may be worth a try. He's an asset, but I haven't seen him in there for a long while. read more

Looks like a really cool store with a great selection from what I could see. But as we entered to shop we noticed both employees were not wearing masks (and coughing on top of it). I called a few days later and asked if mask wearing was being enforced in the store because I truly wanted to go back and shop there. What I assume was the owner told me that no, he would not be enforcing masks in the store. So incredibly irresponsible given the current conditions and in complete defiance of the county's mask order. Wish I could give your store some business, but I would not be comfortable shopping there given your attitude towards public health. read more

Such a cool store! An awesome collection of vintage items from clothes to fur jackets to treasures from the war.. So many cool leather and jean jackets.. there's so much stuff but organized so well! I was only in Durango for a week but went to Old Colorado Vintage twice, the second time I found a brand new Patagonia Jacket from the 80s in perfect condition. If you appreciate things from the past I would 100% recommend this place! Plus the owners are super cool! read more

OCV is hands down one of the top vintage retail stores in the US.....and the best I've ever seen. They sell hard to find quality men's and women's clothing that spans from the early 20th century to the 1990s. This place is a literal time capsule that reminds customers of days gone by and reinforces the popular "they don't make'em like they used to" belief. Quality vintage clothing is hard to find and even harder to find at a fair price. Amazingly, Tom and Carrie have managed to own and operate a hidden gem that far exceeds vintage stores located in major metropolitan areas. This is an amazing gem in Durango! The owners travel the country finding some of the most amazing vintage clothing you'll find ANYWHERE. I want to start out by saying everything is in awesome condition (the perfect true worn look and some perfect), they clean everything before it hits the floor, and the store is laid out very well. They have old military clothing, Air Force, Firefighting, jean jackets, leather bombers, racing gear, hats, boots and everything in between. You won't find this quality and special finds anywhere. I bought a 70's vintage racing puffer jacket with dodge, Goodyear, off-roading shocks emblems all over it, with some rad racing stripes. The owners were so nice and welcoming and shared stories of Durango and their cool finds! Plus the 60's music set the mood perfectly! Thanks for creating an amazing store!!! read more

Old Colorado Vintage has a rather small storefront, so it would be easy to think they might not carry much. What a mistake that would be! When you make your way into the place off Durango's Main Street, it's an experience like wandering back through time. This is discovery of an almost hidden mine of everything vintage. I saw scores of denim jackets, boots, military wear, old and in great condition sports and hunter wear, hats, and more clothing types and Americana items than can be mentioned in a short review. Some of this is of the kind and quality that is just not made anymore. I'd call it a "find" for anyone looking for a great place to get vintage and eclectic clothes. Manager(s) helpful, personable and not pushy. This place is REAL. read more
