I need to let everyone know what took place here regarding my sister's dog so it doesn't happen to another. I'm not pointing blame, sticking with just the facts. You can make your own judgement.
My sister went on vacation and left her Great Dane here. Being a pet boarding business, I would assume they know common medical conditions when it comes to the animals they board. For example, Great Dane's are prone to bloat. Which is where this tale starts. Bloat is preventable for the most part. It can occur after eating a large meal, exercising vigorously before or after eating, or drinking a large amount of water immediately after eating.
My family are on vacation, and left my sister's Great Dane in their care. They then receive a call some days into the vacation letting them know, bloat has occurred and they are taking the dog into emergency surgery. The end of this story, my sister's dog passed away on the operating table and my family is heart broken.
Take this into consideration. The dog has been with my family for around 2 years with no problems, despite being very active. Less than a week with this kennel and the dog has now passed away.
