My massage therapist was standing outside with another therapist. I was informed the building was locked and they couldn't reach their manager or the owner. They were finally able to reach the manager at 10:15 and was informed she "was on her way." Because her arrival would be well past my appointment time, I left. The owner called the following week and said she would "add on a scalp massage" for my troubles. No apology, just an extra add on. Unfortunately, the next available appointment was months out and my massage therapist informed me that she would be seeking employment elsewhere due to how poorly they are treated. A year later, I decided to try this location again. I had a new and inexperienced therapist each time I went. After my 4th massage, I ended this membership. My billing stopped for 3 months then suddenly I was being charged monthly. I called to let them know I was being billed despite my membership ending. This went on for 4 months. They finally credited my card back for 2 of the 4 months. They would not refund the other 2 and also informed me I could not use these services as I am past the 90 days service date of billing and services used. Hand and Stone of Middletown is a huge let down for our community. They currently don't have a manager, the owner never responds to calls and they can't keep any employees.

As a very active 62-year-old who loves yoga, I was experiencing achiness in my upper arms that was really affecting my practice. Then I went to Dr. Philip Brown, and everything changed.
