Dr. Ryan Shakely met me promptly and Jill in the front office is delightful. The first appointment was long, but it should be! I found another provider in town and after 10 min I had an adjustment and was on my way. However, how did they know whats wrong? Dr. Shakley did a thorough examination that included X-rays. Lots of questions, health history, old injuries, sports I play and how I try and find relief when things get out of whack. Then I had a full adjustment which i guess isn't typical for his practice. Most often it would be the first exam and then you come back. I felt very comfortable in his care. He has a gentle hand and talks you through what he is doing and how you need to breath. Like a couple other reviews have said, they're like car salesman…read more I went in for the first time cause of some back pain, so I was hoping to get an x-ray to make sure it wasn't anything drastic. I was told that the x-ray would be a $47 "patient special." I went in, talked with one of the chiropractors about what I was dealing with and took some x-rays. Went back a couple days later to take a look at them. It wasn't anything too serious but they proposed a "treatment plan" that was just for me. They gave me 3 different prices that ranged from 900-1200. The prices were dependent on the payment method. If I payed it all upfront it would have been the cheapest price, monthly was in between and then per session was the highest price ($25 per session). It was a lot of money to consider so I wanted to take a day or so to think about it. I said this but they continued as if I had agreed to go through with the whole plan and that I could decide how to pay next time. I then got what I thought was a trial run of the treatment that consisted of a 5 mins massage and then another 5 mins laying on a massage table machine. Afterwards I tried relaying that I wasn't sure about the treatment and that I wanted time to think about it, but the respond I kept getting was "you can decide that next time you're in on how to pay." I was running late for work so I kind of gave up and left. I called back a couple days later and told them I wasn't going to go through with it and the receptionist put the owner on to try and talk me out. He tried to guilt/pressure me but it didn't matter, it was out of my budget. The next week I get a call from the office saying I owe them $25 for the first session that I wasn't even aware of that they charged for. At no point did anybody mention that my 10 min session after going in to look at my x-rays would be charged. They said it was explained to me, I said it wasn't...he said she said. I have no clue if the treatment works, maybe it does but just be aware of the hidden charges and pushy sales tactics of this place.

I hobbled in on crutches and immediately the staff provided a wheelchair and wi fi tablet in order to make my checkin more comfortable. Once called, the Dr assistant was a bit less than enthusiastic as she watched me struggle with the wheelchair navigating through doorways. Thanks for the help! NOT. Other than that, the DR and x-ray tech were thoughtful and thorough alleviating my worries over my ankle. To finish off the visit, Char,from the front desk really spoiled me by pushing me all the way to my car and returning the wheelchair! I think I just found my foot DR of the future. Hopefully I wont need to use them but if I do Im glad they are there!
