We met with Terry Lanford, who guided us through this process. He handled our insurance company ensuring that we would be able to get all items done even with a 1% overall insurance deduction. Their prices were fair and affordable. His crews were excellent, they were courteous and professional keeping everything clean during their work. Our home was one of many damaged by Helene and we went with Raybrook homes for our repairs. Everything started fine and the work is decent, but we ran into some MAJOR issues like THEFT. First, the communication between different channels was HORRIBLE. When this started, we were in good communication with our contractor, Daniel. He seemed to have a good grasp of how the insurance claim process worked and things went smoothly. Then, toward the end of construction, Chris got involved and started basically harassing us for the final payments. We kept reminding him it was an insurance job and certain inspections had to be done and perimeters had to be met to release payments, but he kept threatening to get lawyers involved and put a lien on our house. Finally, after several emails with insurance, it came down to Raybrook submitting invoices and insurance happily paid. We kept them updated with when the check was received tand deposited but Chris ghosted us even though there was still work to be done. Then, Josh got involved. Josh seems to have absolutely no idea what was actually done on our house, and referred only to initial assessments that were done before we realized the extent of the damage. Even after us reaching out several times, he's did nothing to help us move forward. Then Josh has ghosted as well. We finally got in contact, and a team came out and resolved some of the issues before ghosting us AGAIN. It's now been almost a year since we've been able to get ahold of anyone despite there being some work that was paid for but never completed. That's bad, but it gets worse. During construction, they had absolutely no concern for our property or possessions. They left our house wide open multiple times with the front door left open while they were away on a lunch break and simply tearing down the back of our house and doing nothing to secure the area. We heard from multiple neighbor that there were several nights when they worked late until at least 10:30 pm with bright lights shining into our neighbors' windows. They also had friends/girlfriends/spouses just hanging out on our property, drinking, listening to music, and being loud and obnoxious at late hours. When it came to our possessions, they were equally inconsiderate. We lost a lot during the hurricane, but Raybrook made us lose even more. Several things in our kitchen that we verified were fine were either tossed out without care or stolen. Other items were thrown carelessly into boxes and broken. When they rewired the house, they didn't lay down any drop cloths or protect our possessions in any way and it made a huge mess. Some of the mess was so bad, we had throw out things such as a quilt we received when we got married and lots of clothes. There are also several items that went "missing." We know for a fact that these items were not harmed when the tree hit our house and we have pictures and videos that confirm they were safely stored before work began. These items were either stolen by people who were able to enter our house due to Raybrook's neglect, stolen by workers, or stolen by the people they had on our property without authorization. I no longer have my wedding jewelry or my late Nana's jewelry box, among other things, due to this theft. When we were finally told we could move back in, we had so much to clean up. We had to haul our appliances that they left sitting in our living room (these were replaced) and had to rent a dumpster to haul away things they wrecked and didn't take care of. There was spare wiring and screws and random things all throughout our house they just left lying around. We literally had a ceiling fan lying on our bed. I think it's also worth mentioning that they made changes and decisions without getting prior authorization from insurance which prolonged the process and kept us homeless. Honestly, there's more wrong than the character limit for reviews allows.

Said he could come back later but had to get the ladder out his wife's car. He was more focused on getting into my attic (I had already inspected that myself). Then I find out he's only been with the company for a week and a half with no prior roofing experience. So how in the heck would he know what he's looking at! Take photos and let someone in the office decide. I told them not to bother sending him back. Unprofessional behavior at the beginning does not bode well for future work.
