Physician garage door company came to my house put new springs in drums and cables springs for the wrong springs on my door they cracked and broke my door and overcharged me $1,400 they are not reliable I was patient they made me wait 3 days they said they were going to pay me back but then they said they won't because they have to do the work would you let anybody touch your house after that so now I am going to take him to court but I'm just letting everybody know do not use this company they are untrustworthy overcharge and does not have quality garage technicians to do the job most of them anyway read more

Just like to start this review by saying I had they for two other repairs and had no problems. Three days ago I called for a broken spring they said a tech would be out between 12- 4pm 4:30 comes and no tech so I called and the woman said she would contact the tech and he would call back on route to my home well 6:30pm comes no calls so I call for the third time and now I get the after hour person who said that they are done for the day and that they had me scheduled for the next day so she said that she would have a manager call me back. No call back from a manager. For a company that says their a 24/7 service is un called for needless to say I'm done with this horrible company. *****I will start this review by saying that I opted not to use their service due to a very slimy tactic that I will share with you all so that none of you get duped. I need my garage door opener replaced for a 2 car wooden door garage. I chatted with a person on their site after clicking their ad on google that says "$289 garage door opener." I ended up calling because the person kept saying that the openers "start" at $289. I call and a person tells me that in addition to the openers "starting" at $289, I will also have to pay a $29.95 "travel" fee. Of course this fee is waived if I accept the technician a.k.a. rip off artist's quote which I am sure will mysteriously be much more than $289! Just to give you folks an idea of how badly they are trying to rip you off - when you go to Home Depot's site and pick the most powerful .5 horsepower opener, it costs $169.00 which makes one wonder how much per hour of labor are they charging? Of course they are not honest and won't tell you. NEVER agree to an estimate of any kind that requires you to pay a fee whether or not you get the work done. Avoid these scammers. read more

I look at Precision Web page and see all these five star reviews, which make me wonder if they are REAL. I'm a 28 year Marine Veteran who know something about "professionalism." When you promise to do something and fail to do it - I'm suspect about your company. I called on Saturday to set up an appointment for broken rollers on my garage door. The point of contact made me an appointment for Sunday during the hours of 4pm-8pm. I didn't want to do it that late, but what the heck, I needed my garage door repaired. On Sunday around 10:15am I was called and asked if it was ok if the tech came out early..., I said of course. Now I'm excited because we could get our garage door fixed in the better part of the day. I waited, and waited until 4pm and called and cancelled my appointment. To me when you fail to keep your word or at least call and say, I'm sorry but I can't come early after all...,That would have demonstrated to me that I was dealing with professionals. This is my first and last experience I with Precision Overhead Garage Door. I was able to close my garage door enough to keep someone from coming in....I'm willing to make the sacrifice to wait another day and hire a company that will keep their word. Back in 2007, I had Precision fix my garage springs and do some other work to make my garage door resistant to a hurricane. At the time, I was told my springs would be guaranteed for life ! Since then, they've broken twice, and each time the company has honored their guarantee. The latest was today. My spring broke last night and their tech showed up at noon and had my springs fixed in 30 minutes. He also replaced my brackets. My charge ? $0. Called these people because the belt broke on my garage door opener I had bought from Home Depot. They told me I had to pay $69 if I didn't have them do the work. They said they couldn't replace the belt (which is true) because it came from H.D. They said they would have to replace the whole door opener that was only 3 years old. On top of that they said they had to replace both springs because they were tweaked, and replace all the rollers because they were wore out, all for a mere $900. I had another company come out the following day and my springs only needed to be adjusted and there was nothing wrong with the rollers. Be very careful who you call. read more

They came to fix a problem with a garage door that we have between our kitchen and outdoor area. They fixed part of the problem and said they needed additional parts to finish the job. Didn't hear back for about 3 weeks so I called to see what the status was. The woman who took the call said she would check with the crew and get back to me that day. A week later I called again and asked to speak to a manager. I was told that the manager was in a meeting and would call me back when they were through. Never heard back. Called the next day and expressed my frustration with no callbacks​. Still waiting for​ a response. This company did install 2 new doors in 2009. They did a fine job, except they had a hard time applying my deposit to their final billing payment, clerical error. The installation went fine. On one of the 2 original installed units, they did not install battery back up! to save 25 dollars? Now 4 years later they came out to replace a motor on of the units, because it ceased, Ouch! The battery replacement was quoted at 120 dollars, what a rip off! The repair person that came out, seemed as he was a sales person rather than a technician,.,.,,..,..,.,.,,,,..,,,,.,,,,, I personally do not like to have the Sales person be the same person that is doing the job! it gets real weird! I hope the installers are not working by the commission, otherwise my motor would not have to be replaced so soooooon!? read more

We called Precision to have the seal at the bottom of the door replaced (it was old and was letting water and yard debris into the garage). Craig was the technician. He was prompt, wore a mask, and worked hard on a hot day. Price was very fair. Reading some of the negative reviews made me go back and check to make sure I'm looking at the right company. I had a stellar experience with Precision replacing my odd sized 20' wide special order garage door. I requested a quote on the website, and they promptly sent Michele to measure and go through options with me. She went out of her way to find the one company who could give me what I was looking for in a door that big with impact ratings required in my zone, and delivered me a quote with very specific, reasonable line item prices for parts and installation with a 3-5 week lead time from the mfg for custom build. They contacted me right at the 3 week mark and scheduled two installers because of the large size (no additional charge) with a 4 hour window to show up. They arrived promptly at the start of the window (unheard of in FL) and were professional and friendly and did an absolutely flawless install. I couldn't be happier with my experience. I wish I remembered the installers names so I could give them some credit here too. read more

I called them because my garage door was jammed and I needed it open by morning to go to work. I am a customer of theirs. Thy would not help. Said they had no one available till the next day. So obviously emergency service and 24 hour service they advertise is false. Called a small company and he was out within 45 minutes, fix the problem, was friendly and professional. I am no longer a Precision customer! I also found out the garage door motor that precision had replaced for me I could have got done for half the cost. Disappointed in Precision Door Service customer service . I called to get a quote and they gave me a special of $199 two springs changed for the garage door for three years warranty. But when the Precision Door Technician, Matt Cipolla, arrived he gave me three quotes and told me that the $199 was only for 90 days warranty , thats a bait and switch tactic and very bad . I had no choice as i wanted the door fixed so i agreed to shell out extra for the three year warranty. Matt replaced the broken spring on my garage door and the second spring as well and was very professional and through with the job. I would try to avoid using them in the future. read more

UPDATE ON MY REVIEW: Even though my husband authorized the installation of the $180 springs, they reduced the price to the less expensive springs but kept the 3 year warranty. They also removed the fees for shop supplies and the fuel surcharge. The new total of $459 is more in line with the work that was done. Thank you! Garage door spring broke this morning. I called and was told it would be between $65-$125 for new spring. Technician sold my husband springs for $180 EACH along with of course new bearings etc.........for a total bill of almost $700. I wish we had shopped around before we called this company but we didn't know any better and were in a hurry to get it fixed. I found the same size springs at another garage door place and on amazon for less than $60 each! I believe that we were oversold / overcharged because we live in an over 55 neighborhood and it's easier to take advantage of older people. PS: I guess they didn't charge enough for the springs and bearings, so they also add on 7% fee for "shop supplies" and a gas surcharge of $20.....those charges cost me another $64! Precision Overhead Garage door Tampa was quick to arrive, very professional but look out, they are out to get as much out of your wallet as possible. These guys feel like the modern day used car salesman. They were three times the price for the exact work(springs) performed the previous two times over the last 10 years. And, of course encouraged me to replace everything. On a positive note, they note too high-pressure on the written estimate. The sad part is that while I ended up paying 1.5 times the rate for my fix, my next door neighbor called them over who got the works $$$ on his garage door. He is retired and easily convinced to get things he may not need. These guys do great work but I feel they take GREAT advantage of the unsuspecting. read more

The Precision Door Technician, Matt Cipolla, that preformed the repair at my home was very professional and thorough. Matt called when he was approximately 30 minutes out from my home. When he arrived he wasted no time analyzing the problem. Made quickly provided me with 2 estimates on what it would cost to fix my garage door. One estimate was for a 1 year warranty and the other was for a 7 year warranty. Matt replaced the broken spring on my garage door and the second spring as well. After, Matt did some checks on my garage door, lubed up the joints, and recommended I replace the bad rollers. While replacing the bad rollers Matt stop to show me why the rollers were bad and compared a new know good roller to one he took off my garage door. It was more than obvious the rollers were bad. Matt made a final adjustment to the garage door and his job was complete. By the time Matt finished with my garage door it was working perfectly and going up and down quieter than I ever recall it working. Thanks Matt and thanks Precision. read more

After initially having an issue, (my phone quote was considerably lower then what the tech said it would cost when he arrived onsite), the issue was resolved in a more than satisfactory fashion after speaking with office staff. Initially I replied to their survey with concerns about the work I cancelled after the price dispute. Office manager Danielle reached out to me and was extremely professional and helpful, and in fact went above and beyond to do everything possible in order to ensure I was ultimately a happy and satisfied customer, which I now am.
