So…read morewhen you call the company, owners Son-Mom duo (Perry & Sally) are going to pick up the phone. From the very first call, they were friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel comfortable choosing them. There was no upselling, in-fact Perry convinced me to drop some unnecessary equipment (which would have otherwise added to the invoice price). The installation went smoothly, and the team (David, Nathan and John) took their time to explain everything clearly and answer all of our questions. What really sets them apart is the support after the installation. Anytime we've had a question or needed help, they've been quick to respond and genuinely happy to assist. The owner, Perry, dropped by a couple of days after installation to help us out on an issue. It's rare to find a company that truly cares about their customers the way they do. It feels great supporting a local family business, and we feel much safer in our home because of them. We did thorough due diligence for a couple of months and are happy to work with N&D Security. Please don't consume your time in unnecessary google searches, look no further and select N&D Security for all your security needs.     I had no idea what to search for or what to expect when contacting a private security business…read more This was my first time seeking out these services in order to more safely address/resolve a situation with a mentally unstable, aggressive, and often-drugged up individual. I spoke with Mike on the phone last week about my situation. He was professional and patient with my little worry-filled self. He followed up diligently to my questions / concerns and provided resources that were helpful for my situation. He worked w my uncertain timeline due to this particular unstable individual's unpredictability. The situation ended up resolving peacefully. I am grateful for Mike's support throughout it, and I highly recommend working w him for your security needs - whether as a little female like me fearful and needing help; or private security for dignitaries; or for organizations needing security for events. It was difficult to figure out what to search for with private security, but through this experience, I learned through a bit of research that Virginia's Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) has a website where you can look up a business related to security and see the license info (and make sure they are legit too if you're working w one private individual). You can also read into what the differences in training are for each of the certifications. Mike has agents available who can serve as unarmed and armed security with arresting authority. (There might be more security services his business does, but this was mainly what I was needing so that's what we spoke on!)

    We had Mark Evans out to replace one ring camera and to bring another back online. He was terrific…read more He showed us the receipt for the camera and told us what the installation would cost before he began so that there would be no surprises. He also tailored the field for each camera to avoid cars driving by triggering a ring alert. More importantly, he worked with us and Ring Customer support for an extended period to bring all three cameras online. Due to some Ring technical glitch, only 2 of the 3 cameras were showing in our Ring phone apps. His expertise saved the day. We would not have been nearly as successful navigating with Ring without Mark to guide the conversation. I might also add that he is exceedingly patient as it took 3 calls with Ring before the problem was fixed.

    The service over 10 years was fantastic. Fast forward, 2025. we decide to cancel partially…read morefinancially but home up for sale and wasn't taking equipment with us. Called to cancel, they needed proof equipment was paid off for early buy out promise. We have email proof and provided by supervisor in email we could cancel no termination fees. Two months, no service turned off. We had moved to new place. We call back, we need proof. We did this already, but they say they don't have it but offer two months free hoping our buyer if home would want it. we say okay but if at the end of two months house hasn't sold, cancel. They did not and drafted out our account. We call back, same mess different day. We submit documentation and forward previous emails. Time went by, they tried to draft again but we removed auto draft. Sent bill with late fee. Get on phone again and here we are trying to cancel since September 2025, it's mid April 2026, still not cancelled and they refuse to give us the months back they drafted and saying they have no record of verifying our payoff of equipment or cancellation. So I will never recommend them ever because cancelling isn't option. Seeking legal action now. We have names of cancelling department, emails and proof of payoff. Do not use them.

    I would rate it lower than 1, if possible. The previous owners of our home left a Vivint system…read moreinstalled, and the cameras whistle every time they detect movement. This annoys us, as it goes off even when bugs fly by, and it's very loud. My husband called to see about the cost of setting up service to use the system and turn off the whistle noise, but as soon as we decided the cost was too high and said no, it was like a switch was flipped in the representative's customer service. My husband asked him if there was any way to get into the panel to turn the whistle off, and Jake (the representative on the phone) said--in the most condescending tone that really took me aback--"Well, no. That's what you pay for service for." Imagine the tone you'd use if you thought someone was the biggest idiot in the world, and you'd have his tone. I've worked in customer service, and it's something I care about. This guy, Jake? He doesn't have it. By the way, he had no interest in helping or staying on the phone to answer any questions. Once we said no to service, he was done. (My husband had even said we might consider activating at a later time. Definitely not, now.) He mumbled something about transferring to customer service, didn't say, "have a good day," or anything...just left. Anyway, still stuck with the annoying whistle. Great. This wasn't a particular location, just over the phone.
