I spoke with Mike on the phone last week about my situation. He was professional and patient with my little worry-filled self. He worked w my uncertain timeline due to this particular unstable individual's unpredictability. The situation ended up resolving peacefully. It was difficult to figure out what to search for with private security, but through this experience, I learned through a bit of research that Virginia's Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) has a website where you can look up a business related to security and see the license info (and make sure they are legit too if you're working w one private individual). You can also read into what the differences in training are for each of the certifications. Mike has agents available who can serve as unarmed and armed security with arresting authority.
