Juan, the owner and his entire crew were so friendly and professional and really take pride in their work. October 28,2024 was tear out day and November 1, 2024 was pouring the concrete day. Everything went as scheduled and looks really great and definitely added value and curb appeal to our home. We can't wait to get back out there and fill in the surrounding areas with dirt and grass seed and finally get to use our stored patio furnishings. I was getting water in my house/ceiling and they identified that as the problem. I'd gotten several quotes that were all over the place, theirs was in the middle, but I liked their thoroughness and they had other good reviews. My chimney had eroded because I had gotten a new high efficiency furnace and the company did not install a chimney liner. Art of Stone did an amazing job, the result was a beautiful looking chimney and a new cap on top. I've had zero problems with water since then. I then had someone else put in a chimney liner so the problem wouldn't re-occur. I would recommend.

Update to Complaint/Review HomeSpec Waterproofing and…read moreFoundation Repair I am writing to provide an update regarding my experience with HomeSpec Waterproofing. In 2024 I entered into a contract (which I paid cash for) with HomeSpec to have my basement waterproofed and a sump pump installed. Over the following two years my basement continued to take on water after heavy rainfalls. After multiple visits that yeilded no answers and a periood where communication stalled, I posted a negative review to express my frustration. Shortly after posting, HomeSpec reached out and sent a team back to my home. Thats when management representative Brian stepped in and took full accountability for finding the root cause. He used a practical methods to track the water flow, he placed paper towels around the perimeter to pinpoint the entry point and found it. After the next rain he had his crew to remove the drywall and insulation to expose the hidden leak. Once the leak was identified, the crew repaired the issue. As of 9/2/2026, HomeSpec has restored my basement by installing new insulation, putting up and painting new drywall as replacing my electrical fixtures in the area where there was water damage. While the overall process took a long time and required significant peristance to reach a solution, I want to extend my sincere appreciation to Brian for his professionalism, determination to making things right, Hopefully the issue is now resolved, and I will be monitoring the basement during upcoming rainfalls to ensure the fix remains permanent. I have to give credit where credit is due. Thank You Brian.

He was right on with his estimate and showed up and got to work. We worked out with him ahead of time the design, the steps, the color, height, etc. If he had questions while working on it, we always discussed next steps to make sure there were no surprises. The biggest thing is John is on the job when work is being done and he doesn't sub it out to others. He and his team worked their butts off whenever they were on site. There were a few days in between, since forms need to be made, concrete has to cure, aggregate needed exposing and other activities. So the whole process took about 3 weeks, but we were never concerned that he wouldn't be back to do the next step. He kept us informed every step of the way. Plus - he just seems like an all around great guy, very personable and good workers on the job with him. Our patio is gorgeous, everyone loves it and so do we. We would hire him for any project if we needed work done again.

0 Stars! Save…read moreyourself the headache, time, and money--do not use Olsen Cement. Three neighboring homeowners on our street had cement work completed by this company. Both neighbors had new driveways installed, and within just 14 months, both driveways developed significant pitting and chipping. One driveway even has a crack running across it. I had my entire walkway replaced, and it is also showing pitting and chipping after only 14 months. All three of us contacted Olsen Cement and requested inspections. The response was disappointing. Damage from salt pop off from vehicles and told that the deterioration was due to our failure to seal the concrete and that the problem was essentially a maintenance issue on our end. That explanation doesn't hold up. I have a 30-year-old driveway that has never been sealed and is still in better condition than the concrete Olsen installed just over a year ago. To make matters worse, one of my neighbors was eventually offered a one-time driveway sealing application at no cost. I called and asked if my walkway could be included when they came out since they would already be on-site. My calls were never returned. When they arrived to seal my neighbor's driveway, they didn't seal my walkway and still never followed up with me. The poor quality of the concrete is one issue. The lack of accountability, inconsistent customer service, and failure to return calls made the experience even worse. Based on our collective experience, I cannot recommend Olsen Cement.
