During our first conversation, I explained to him the details of the car accident and told him of my medical history, as well as my pre-existing condition. I emailed Ronnie and was able to get on the phone with him a week later (it took a couple of emails but it was a week with a long weekend holiday so not a big deal). He remembered my case specifically, we went through the documentation I had compiled on each reimbursable item line by line - he was very patient as well as thorough, asking great questions to make sure the case for reimbursement was extremely clear. We finished our call and from then on, Ronnie handled it promptly with USAA. 3 weeks after I had first reached out about this second phase of reimbursement, I received a statement with an additional ~25% or so from USAA, on top of the original payment amount. The way Ronnie handled the original process was strong - I recall him not even being sure if my case was sizable enough for his practice, and he seemed to actually care - but his responsiveness and continued assistance more than a year after the original incident has really impressed me. Under Rule 11 of the Rules of Civil Procedure (and related ethical guidelines), an attorney is required to perform a "reasonable inquiry under the circumstances" to ensure that factual contentions have evidentiary support. Allen Farshi has formally admitted in writing that they have waived this duty. By filing or threatening to file claims that they have openly refused to verify, the attorney is: Knowingly advancing claims that may lack any factual basis. Failing their duty as an officer of the court to ensure the integrity of legal proceedings. Subjecting me to unnecessary legal harassment and costs based on unverified allegations.
