Mixed review: I've…read morehad two cleanings, and one inspection by Dr. Bowling. All went well. I had one filling re-done around the first visit (same dentist) and that also went very well. The hygienist was very good, thorough, and personable. Dr. Bowling has a pleasant disposition and seems concerned for his patients. But that's not the whole story. During the second inspection another dentist I hadn't see before mentioned I needed a filling re-done on a top molar, which I mentioned I was concerned about. I later made an appointment to get that done and when I came in, Dr. Bowling said the chart indicated a lower molar, which I've not noted a problem with, but I'm not able to see it myself and of course, I'm not a dentist. He looked at both and said neither needed a filling. He was with me for four or five minutes and no significant supplies were used. Upon checking out I was presented with a bill for $75! That's about $900 per hour. I wouldn't expect to be charged for anything since the first dentist was apparently mistaken. I have faith that Dr. Bowling is competent and he's probably correct. So - why charge a patient (an exorbitant amount) for such a short appointment that wasn't necessary in the first place? Had the junior dentist not made a bad call, I wouldn't have wasted the time and travel expense (70 minutes round trip) and had to pay $900/hr for nothing! Further - I called the office manager after getting home since I didn't want to say all that in front of the waiting room full of patients, thereby embarrassing the practice, and she acted as if nothing was wrong. I tried to resolve this between us by sending a rough draft of this review to her three times, but it kept bouncing back over the next two days. Apparently they also had a problem with their email. A patient shouldn't have to pay to be told another practitioner in the same office was wrong. The office caused the problem; a patient shouldn't have to pay for it. I'd give 5 stars if the last visit hadn't happened.

I had these done 3-days ago and I am in so much pain and discomfort that I seriously considering going to Quick care or the Emergency Room. However, use caution as you will risk being labeled a "drug-seeker". Personally, I hate opiate pain relievers. They have made me sick the few times I have had them, however, I would trade.puking my guts out now rather than have this pain and discomfort. Due to a medical condition and possible contraindications to a medication I am prescribed, I cannot take Tylenol or any other OTC pain reliever. However I can take prescription pain medication without the Tylenol.
