I had some severe pain and I didn't want to wait hours at the ER, so my husband and I went here hoping they'd be able to treat me. First off, the nurse Angela is phenomenal because she was so caring and considerate and went above and beyond trying to make more comfortable. She saw me again the next day when I had to return because the loop drain the doctor put in came out on its own and she remembered me. As for the doctor, Dr. Miklovic is TOP NOTCH. Excellent bedside manner, didn't make me feel like just part of a quota number, he was gentle with both procedures he had to do. He offered two paths to finding out the problem and we went with the first and we are glad because that ended up being the issue. He was knowledgeable and friendly and for the kind of wound it was, he was very reassuring. I was sad to hear he was going to be off when I had to return the third time because he is definitely one in a million as far as good practice. The place itself is clean and staff is friendly and they get you seen quickly. Definitely using them again. read more

my college student wasn't feeling well and made the mistake of going here. they didn't diagnosed him, and told him to see a dentist. The doctor was nice and so were the nurses. However they charged my son hundreds of dollars and then charged our insurance (we have PPO coverage) and then they charged us again. we called multiple times and get different answers. management is poor and we feel like they fraudulently charged us. read more

I am so glad I went to Premier ER & Urgent Care center. I don't live in Temple anymore but was fearful of going to S&W due to the potential long wait. S&W takes Medicaid/ Medicare and TriCare so I knew the wait would be long and I wanted to get help and back home. I checked in online, filled out a few short forms at the clinic then was seen. I was really optimistic to get assistance with a pain I've been having that I have not had luck in getting answers on. The issue with Premier ER & Urgent Care is that they try to get you on the ER side which will cost an outrageous amount vs an Urgent Care visit. I was advised to go here specifically for the ability to get a ultrasound. Somehow, in 2023 this qualifies as an ER service to Premier. I respectfully disagree with this. I took my husband into this urgent care; he was given the best care and attention. He was diagnosed with a stomach blockage. The entire staff was very attentive and caring through the whole process. The doctor found a local hospital to transfer him to, and he was transferred quickly by ambulance. I want to thank the entire staff for the great care! read more

Overall good experience. 100x better than Scott & White for the same cost. The front desk staff was friendly, I was promptly called back and immediately evaluated by a nurse. Probably 15 minutes total from arrival to seeing the NP. My only complaint is that I felt the NP was incredibly inexperienced. After experiencing the health problems that initiated my visit for over 30 years, I am very well versed in the causes, treatments and interventions used and why. She was friendly, but provided incorrect /half true information on the appropriate treatment and ultimately relied on my evaluation of the situation to determine the treatment plan. read more

A few years ago I found Premier ER and I have sent several people there for care. I requested my medical records to give to my primary care for information on my visits and boy was I shocked. My last two visits were absolutely awful and the care was the worse. I had my primary care doctor document injections (via photos) I was given in my toe for an infection, which did not require numbing. I supposedly saw a doctor and a NP, I NEVER SAW A DOCTOR! I went because I could not get seem by my provider and my toe was infected. My latest visit was even worse, I was going out of town and needed to be checked after I banged my head, the incident I reported had been changed. The NP mocked me and insulted me when she walked in the door. I was sent right away for a CT and was told I was fine. According to my medical records I had history of bariatric surgery ( which I never had) a laceration on my nose (which I never had) and a concussion (which I never was told I had)??? Concussions are serious but I was never told I had one. DI'd I have one or not??? I will never go there again, I have learned my lesson. read more

I visit family in Temple usually every other month. Unfortunately, myself or my kid always come down with something when out of town. I have been to this clinic twice now. There hasn't been a lot of traffic each time, and I've been in/out within an hour. Will continue to visit as needed when in town! read more

I was having trouble walking my calves and knees were hurting finally got so bad I felt I did see the doctor just in case I had done something that I didn't realize dislocated something. I was seen right away by a very cold doctor, I said hello. My name is Mrs. Cook or Clarkie and he said let's just keep it Dr Because I don't want to get personal. Was not a good start he did get a sonogram. I didn't have a clot and he just basically said yeah your leg hurts and I went home. It did subside and I continue to take Tylenol that I had at home and I felt better in a day or two it just got to the point I was worried that I had a something worst and that was resolve that it was not something worse. read more

My oldest boy came into contact with a friend who later tested positive for Covid. This being right before Thanksgiving we needed to all be tested. Upon arrival there was a line of three others right in front of me who all said that they had "likely" been exposed. There was only ONE staff member working the desk, so it was already taking a while. Worse, I watched and listened intently as other patients explained their multiple symptoms and then carelessly moved about, with lesser face coverings than is recommended to stop the spread. THIRTY minutes later, even only having been the third in line, it was my turn. BUT, then I was told our insurance policies (several) would not be accepted AND if it had been it would take up to six hours to be seen and NOT to leave the parking lot or we'd be at the bottom of the list again. However, the worst part about this experience was the complete disregard for Covid-prevention. There was ZERO protocol being followed. There was nobody checking temps before entering, no door monitoring or disinfecting of door handles used by every patient and the hand disinfectant was not used one time by any patient I saw. Not one. Bottom line: I left this location with a greater concern of having contracted Covid than I did when I arrived. Very poor service, very poor concern for Covid prevention protocol. Thanks a lot. It left me with a lesser chance of safely attending our family Thanksgiving festivities, which was why we wanted testing in the first place. Thankfully, another med business fixed us up with absolutely stellar service and care. While I do understand the disclaimer your ER posted, asking for our understanding that "during Covid" the workers are potentially overwhelmed and, therefore, deserve understanding, there simply is no excuse for the lack of care we received or the concern this location showed for potentially further spreading of Covid. We had just left Scott and White Pediatric Clinic, where there were no openings for the day, but where all sorts of protocols were being followed. Going from there to your location, care-wise, was like going from a five star resort to less than a Motel 6. We will not return. read more

Everyone was very professional, knowledgeable, and attentive. As a RN who worked ER, I have NEVER had any issues with this facility on either the Urgent Care or the ER side. Great service started from the time we walked in with the front desk all the way until the end upon discharge. It was a very pleasant experience. I walked in late morning the day after July 4th fully expecting a long wait. I didn't even have time to sit down after signing in- they took me back right away. Everyone was friendly and compassionate. I was there for a few hours because they needed to run tests and I had an IV but I left feeling much better and had good answers regarding my condition. I've never had this great of an experience with any previous urgent care facilities. It is also nice that they have an ER side for when urgent care isn't enough (as was my case). I am not one who goes to the doctor often and I hope I never need this facility again, but I would highly recommend it to any that do. read more

I have been here a few times already and I have never had any issues. They have always been friendly and tentative to the needs of son and granddaughter. I have never really ever had to wait a long time is usually pretty quick. So far each provider has listened to me without cutting me off which I love the most. My family member recommended I go to Premier because he likes going there himself. The staff is very nice and took care of me like I was the only patient there. Of course I wasn't, but I liked getting down to business and not having to deal with more than one person. I didn't have to wait long and my vitals were taken, soon after that the Doctor came in. He discussed how he was going to treat me and I need to see my primary care Doctor in a week. When I left I felt better knowing my upper respiratory bacterial infection would be gone after I took my prescriptions. I thought I just had an allergy problem, but it was more than I expected. I had a severe anxiety/panic attack. broke my septum from the inside, and my pointer finger. they were short in listening to me while I was in panic and were demeaning in telling me we can't help unless you calm down. if I could calm down I wouldn't have came to your establishment. I have cut inside my nose that went untreated and when I left I still had blood all over my face. one word to describe the experience. prejudice. I've never experienced something so close to discrimination in my life. nobody there was nice or helpful. they want you in and out with minor needs. DO NOT GO HERE. I told them I had insurance and they still charged the women who brought me in, out of pocket instead of waiting on my information. this place is disgusting. read more

The care I received from the doctor and all of the staff was super. Dr Tauferner immediately diagnosed my problem as an abscess that needed to be drained and scraped. He and his nurse took excellent care and made me comfortable for this unpleasant procedure. He gave me antibiotics and requested I return the next day for a follow up. Next day I saw Dr Smith for the wound care follow up, again everyone was great, and I was told to return the next day. This day, Dr Tauferner was there and I had a final all good visit. This last day the check-in staff saw me in the parking lot, and recognized me. By the time I entered the lobby, they had me totally checked in!! I'll start off by saying that if I was just reviewing the care I received when I went to be treated, this review would be five stars. Sunday night I was hoping to be seen at the urgent care clinic, but I was told at the reception desk that my issue was really more of an ER problem. It's not something I wanted to hear, but in retrospect, it was true. After ruling out the more serious possibilities, the doctor gave me some prescriptions and said he'd send a referral over to Baylor Scott & White so I could follow up with a specialist. On Monday (Memorial Day), I received a text message from the Baylor University Medical School's Orthopedics Department--- which is in Houston--- instructing me to call to make a follow-up appointment regarding my referral from Premier ER. I called Tuesday morning to request a referral to a local doctor and was told that if I wanted to see a local doctor, I would have to find one myself and that I would have to stop by to get my records to take to that doctor. Tuesday evening I went in to get my records, and the person at the desk apologized for sending the referral to Houston instead of Temple . When I asked why they couldn't send my records to the doctor I would follow up with, I was told that they could, and to just let them know which doctor. Because I did not have a referral from another doctor, the earliest appointment I could make with a specialist is next week. I have only gotten a few hours of sleep since Saturday because of the incredible pain. And to add insult to injury, they sent me a referral to a local doctor with an incomplete phone number this morning--- after I had to call multiple providers in order to find someone who could see me.
