And then accused me of arguing with them. This is after paying hundreds of dollars just to get an eye exam by an optometrist not even an ophthalmologist. The Doctor was ok But examined me without checking my eye first to see if there was a lens in there so she had to start over. And why does a simple eye exam take an hour and a half? The staff needs proper training on how to deal with customers. I am not going back there.

I was told I do not have an eye infection and surgery wasn't necessary just to keep an eye on things. This eye Institute was immaculately clean. They really treated me with the upmost respect and Chelsea did all my pre-examinations explained everything as she went along and then I saw Dr. Grossman, who was extremely nice and understanding about my anxiety and what I had been told the day before and did not put me through any unnecessary testing, but was able to completely reassure me that I did not have an double eye infection. I would highly recommend this office. They got me in almost immediately and gave me reassurance.

My insurance should have been better verified so that I did not spend nearly a $1000 for a procedure that should have cost less than $250. When I returned for the second eye, they were going to charge me again until I explained that I had already overpaid with the first eye. They then applied the overcharge to the second eye. I am still waiting for the remainder to get refunded. My first surgery was April 2, 2026. My second was April 30, 2026. It's now June 17th and it may still be another month before I get the overpayment back.

Both the gentleman at the front and the receptionist (who barely would speak to me) were both unwelcoming and rude.When speaking with the gentleman to order my glasses when asked the basic question of what can I add on he waved around a list and wouldn't answer my question and when I asked to read it he shoved it at me and said "can you read this?!" And showed me the paper with the abbreated add ons. At that point I shut down and dont want to pay to add anything on, I'm not going to spend my money here. He was extremely rude to both my husband and I to the point where we both shocked and said something back to him at which point he apologized and he had to correct himself and take back what he said. After confirming my glasses we leave and as we are buckling our son in, he proceeds to follow us to the parking lot demanding I pay an 80 dollar bill that had not been disclosed before, never had to pay anything before the appointment and no one ever said anything until I left the building, so insane which is very unfortunate considering how great the dr is.

They were able to source them and I had my new glasses in a week and half. I am not sure why there are some bad reviews from California. Perhaps they are reviewing a different company there with the name Eye Design Eyewear. The business in Ormond Beach Florida does not use that name anymore, and Yelp should adjust its site accordingly.

I spoke with the office manager explained what happened she said she canceled my appointment it's now 15 minutes later and I was just send an email saying that if I don't come to my eye appointment next week they're gonna charge me $25. I already canceled the appointment with the manager. This is not the first time something like this has happened at this group 3 years ago. I was told I need cataract surgery and it would probably be within a year or two on this appointment. I was told that my cataracts weren't even hardly there so beware extremely upset and disappointed, rude rude nurse Judy Dr Royce was very nice, but unfortunately I was given the wrong information and two different eye drugs that I did not need for infection.
