Cardio is hardio but man this is cardio on steroids. I've been looking for spicy new workout…read moreregimen and not only do I get to burn hella calories (I would estimate at least 500 calories per 45 min) but it's a nice way to let out some stress after a crazy day at work. This place is starting to become a second home. I tried a few classes (first one is free) with a friend and before I knew it, they had a black Friday Sale and bought a year unlimited pass. The sales person was also the instructor that day and he was not pressuring at all. He wrapped my hands up for me and went over all the basic punches before class started so that I would be prepared for how the class went. So the basic format of the class is a warm up, 9 rounds of 3 minute boxing intervals then core. You can leave anytime without shame. Class times I've seen as early as 5am and as late as 8pm 7 days of the week and even a lunch time class. Classes can range from as little as 30 min to 75 min. Not only are their just boxing classes, but there is also kickboxing, strength training, personal training and MMA! I will say there are some instructors that are better than others in my opinion and some who play better music to get you pumped than others as well. Some teachers are more motivating than others, none are military and belittle you, they are all to get your mindset to work harder, which I appreciate. Inside also boasts some workout apparel, bottled water to purchase, plenty of locker space, separate male/female bathrooms and changing areas. Want to warm up? There's tons of medicine balls, dumbbells, kettle bells, bench press set, pull up bar etc. Things to bring: water bottle (they have water to fill your bottle there), towel, hand wraps (you can buys some there) and gloves (you can borrow a pair from them for your first class). Also if it is a bad weather day, they ask you bring a second pair of shoes for inside the gym and leave your snow boots at front of the gym. So there are at least 6 other Title Boxing gyms within 20-30 miles from me and I've only been to Highland Heights since it's close to my boyfriend's house. Shares a parking lot in a mini strip mall so plenty of parking! I tried once to go the one in Ohio City which does not have a parking lot so you have to park on the street. I could not find parking after 30 min so I ended up just going to my own gym to work out. I tell everyone about this place and have gotten a ton of friends to try this out. Maybe I should ask them for a commission....Gotta run, class starts in 20 min.

I came with a friend for my first ever boxing/conditioning class, and boy did I get a workout! If you're new, the first class is always free - just bring $5 for a pair of hand wraps (in a variety of colors!). You can borrow a pair of communal boxing gloves and set yourself up in front of a punching bag. Remember that the gloves are COMMUNAL, so they're not the nicest smelling things. However, I was assured that they Lysol wipe them down as best as they can in between uses. After filling out a check-in form, one of the staff members wrapped my hands and showed me the basic punches. The class itself consisted of cardio, strength, and 30 minutes of boxing with the heavy bag. A water bottle is highly suggested, as you do get breaks in between rounds. If you're one that waterfall sweats, you might want to bring a small towel. And if you don't like lying on the ground for core exercises, bring a yoga mat. There's a lot of jumping during the workout, so it might not be the best option if you can't do high-impact exercises. Most of the clientele the evening I went were young adult to middle aged women, with a few men in the mix. Everyone was pretty nice but did their own thing. This was absolutely preferable to me because I'm pretty sure I looked like the court jester for the first 30 minutes of the class (and probably the last 30), but I definitely felt the workout for the next few days. Our instructor was fast-talking since most of the attendees were repeats, and it was kind of hard to see her through the grid of bags, but you can pick up the movements by watching others around you and there's no flack given if you don't do everything perfectly or have to modify a move for your comfort level. If this gym were closer and not so $$, I'd probably come here at least a few times a month. Definitely something to check out for people wanting to up their fitness game and try something different!

I had FUN at a self-defense beginner class which I took back on 27 March 2021. Funny enough, today is 27 March 2022 so it is now a whole year later. Time really flies. SELF-DEFENSE CLASS -- The class mixes principles of boxing, Muay Thai, and wrestling. Once the 2 instructors explained the defense moves that we would all be working on, each person paired up with a partner to practice what we just learned. I enjoyed practicing all the moves. The instructors provided props such as a padded hitting block. At certain points, the main instructor (man) was speaking too fast but he was funny. I recommend Krav Maga if you live in the area. It is located in Warrensville Heights on the east side of Cleveland, which is too far from where I live. They have self-defense classes for male and females and they also offer yoga and strength/conditioning classes. **** - 31/150 total reviews in 2022 - 509 total overall Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 27 March 2022

GROOVVERYDE WOODMERE IS NOW RYZE + GRIND…read more I cannot say enough about Ryze & Grind .. every time I'm in Cleveland this becomes my home gym. Todd runs this place like a well oiled machine without creating a cold environment. It's located on the second floor of the building, up the stairs and on the left (across from the water fountain). Just follow the sounds of music and laughter. COMMUNITY Everyone at this place is so damn friendly! My very first visit here an older lady with beautiful white hair (another member) told me exactly what I would need for the class and welcomed me personally. Every time you enter you're greeted (by name if Todd is behind the desk). They even hosted a community happy hour last week, providing food and drink tickets to everyone who went. I met so many new people who attended classes at different times so it was great! VARIETY No matter what you are into they have a class at a time that works for you: Barre, Spin, Bootcamp, Weightlifting, Circuit Training, Yoga, etc. My personal favorite is the REVOLUTION class, which combines spin and bootcamp, it is not for the weak lol. Beth and Todd usually teach this class and it is challenging every time. You typically need 3 sets of weights (light, medium and heavy) and you'll do as instructed in the allotted time before hopping on and off the bike for sprints and climbs . INSTRUCTORS When you enter you'll see some lovely new photos of every instructor. Todd is my favorite with Halley (yoga) a close second (her goose is very soothing). I love that they are all diverse, with unique styles and all have great playlists to push you through class. ENVIRONMENT The space is very well lit and I love the spin room with the LED lighting. With fresh paint and their recent rebranding, the place looks awesome. The large room they use for Circuit Training and Yoga holds assault bikes, row machines and a variety of dumbbells. They even have awesome merch, I'm interested in getting a shirt next time I go. Lockers, towels, hair ties, mints and ear plugs are always provided / available. Energy drinks are available for purchase. If you're looking for a new gym give this place a try, I don't think you'll be disappointed. Come ready to work cuz you'll definitely be a sweaty mess when you leave. ‍

This review is specifically for the downtown location (which doesn't have it's own listing)…read more I came here with some friends to try out a spin class. This place may be one of the best places to do it because you can get your first class free, how amazing is that? I have never been to a spin class and I was lowkey terrified. My goals were as follows: 1. Don't fall off the bike and 2. Don't stop pedaling until told to stop. Right from the start of just walking into this place everyone there was very friendly and accommodating. They relieved me of my nerves, answered all of my questions, and helped me set up my bike to my height and strap my feet in. I rented shoes for $2 because of the aforementioned, possibly irrational, fear of falling off of the bike. Kaitlin was our instructor and she was great, very energetic and encouraging. She also showed variations to some of the movements for those who were less experienced with spin classes (because let me tell you the getting up and sitting down movements are a lot harder than they look when you do them while pedaling) which I really appreciated. I was happy that the class also incorporated arm exercises and wasn't just leg focused. Did this class kick my butt? Yes. Was it worth it? Yes. If you want to try a spin class - definitely come here. If you don't want to try a spin class but looking for something else? They have a number of different classes that all look fantastic - check out their website!
