Worst of the worst. Been waiting 1 1/2 hours for my appointment. Totally unacceptable. These people should be ashamed.

While Raymond Kruck was still at this practice I had faith in my visits and the care and concern I received. Since his leaving to get in the office unbelievably impossible. With many attempts in the time Raymond Kruck has been retired NO ONE RETURNS YOUR CALL. COUNTLESS messages left to make an appointment. I wouldn't call this Premier treatment. I like to consider myself a generous person and usually give people a wide berth before ending the relationship. But, in the case of medical care, that isn't so. The best decision I ever made was getting rid of my internist a few years ago who nearly killed me by giving me medication without a proper diagnosis . That's a story in itself. But, that was nothing in comparison to a letter I received from him a year later - informing me that I must see him to take care of my hypertension. If there was a zero for review i would use it. Worst place ever on North Road. Stay far away from Dr. Amani Sargios who of course is the only one seeing new patients cause no one in their right mind would stay with her. She has no bed side manner. So incompetent and reads everything off of the computer and cannot answer any questions. If the computer was not in front of her she would be at a loss.. All she wants to do is refer you to her GI husband down the hall who probably is equally incompetent. Never returns a call and when you say you had this test done or labs, etc. she says NO YOU DIDN'T like you are stupid. When you give her dates etc. she then backtracks and finds the information on her computer, but never an apology. Don't know how she is in practice. Absolute worst doctor ever and someone else I know at work that previously went to her said same thing. Stay far away. Also, the front desk staff are rude and sitting there eating and chatting behind the ridiculous glass window. When you approach them for something they act like they are doing you a favor instead of there minimal job. Place is a joke!!! read more

The front desk receptionists aren't very inviting. They don't appear to actually want to help when you come up to the window.The receptionist that are in the back are extremely helpful and Dr Zana Nikolla is the absolute best. I've had her for many years now and I'm thankful for how she has been able to help me stay on track with my medication's and appointments. She was instrumental in helping me through a very tough G.I. time and I'm blessed to have her as my G.I. physician. read more

What a bad experience! Today, I went for a GYN appt at the New Windsor, New York location. The secretaries are more professionals than the medical staff themselves. I'm not counting the time I arrived, but I was sitting for more than 30 minutes from my appointment time until they called me inside. I would have understood if they had a bunch of patients/or they were running behind..NOPE. After the nurse provided me with the medical gowns to change into, I sat for another 40 minutes waiting for the GYN, who never arrived until I changed back and left. The worst part was I was listening to their voice laughing, joking, and talking loudly in the hallway in front of my door! I wish my GYN didn't retire, but I just changed my health insurance so that I could go to a good private clinic. What an experience! read more

I don't of it's incompetence or intentional, but i am leaning towards the former. Every year I schedule an appointment for a physical I ask that the blood work script be mailed to me. Each time I call to confirm it has been sent, leave a message and No return calls. I scheduled my yearly physical on 11/8 and asked that the script be mailed to me. On 11/15 after no script, i left a message asking that it be mailed. Nothing. Basically you leave it up to chance and hope after a night of fasting your script is there only to show up hungry and irritable to find out that the script has never been sent. The best is that when when you call, not only does it go to voice mail, but if you win the lottery and they do call back, they ask how you would like the script sent. Hey sparky, I only told you 3x to mail it to me. The only reason I stay with this traveling circus is that I like Dr. Chernak. read more

If we could award negative stars we would. Wife goes in for an exam of her left side and a suspected pinched nerve. She is a long time customer/patient. They do the exam and take X-rays. They do not have anyone on staff to read the X-Ray so we have to wait a week. They finally call back and recommend physical therapy. Send the wrong file to the physical therapist. That was two months ago. Still cannot manage to send the correct file over so she can get treatment. Office staff is useless in the Fishkill location. The Doctor that treated her never returns calls. Going to see another practice as this one cannot seem to get the basics of healthcare down. read more

After just two weeks of working at premier medical IM in Fishkill I went to my practice manager Keisha Sutton about questions and concerns I had as an employee. I was told these concerns would be addressed and to give it time as I was new and everyone does thing alittle different. As time went by I quickly realized there was NO consistent training or protocols on how clinical should be charting and you were to figure it out on your own!! The provider that I worked for was quick to talk behind your back about something you were doing wrong but would never confront you about it! A few more weeks went by and Keisha had pulled all the new hires a side one by one to address what was working and not working and none of our input was ever followed up on again or concerns addressed. After 30 days of employment HR had sent me a form to fill out on "how things were going" I was BLUNTLY honest as I was not happy or impressed with how management was treating their employees. Laine Belmote who is in charge of HR personally reached out to me and we had arrange a date and time to speak about why my 30 day review and she never called me! With in my 88 days of working at premier I watched 6 people QUIT including the office manager who left two days after I started! Upon handing in my resignation I noticed I was being treated differently by multiple staff members and management. I offered to stay per diem/float and was told by Keisha that would be a possibly just for Laine from HR to say "there is no position approved at this time". although the day after handing in my resignation Keisha emailed everyone about open positions and the float position was listed and I was told I could not apply! My last day was yesterday and I have NEVER felt so numb walking out of job ever before in my life! Any practice that employs Dr. Andrew Chernack should be avoided. When I was looking for a primary-care physician for myself and my elderly mother in early 2013, I visited Dr. Chernack's practice in Hyde Park. A local neurologist had referred me to him, and I was bringing our medical records to his office. However, I ended up leaving the office with the records because I was so turned off by what I saw. In addition to the office's rinky-dink appearance, I found his staff extremely unprofessional, causing me to question his judgment. The receptionist asked me personal questions while I was standing at the desk and other patients were within earshot and yelled at me when I reached over the desk to pick up a pen to make a notation. I left and ended up using Dr. Westmoreland and Premier Medical Group instead. When my mother was admitted to the emergency room at Vassar Brothers Medical Center after aspirating on vomit last Dec. 17, I was dismayed when Dr. Chernack, not Dr. Westmoreland, came to the emergency room to treat her. After very bad experiences with Mid-Hudson Medical Group's system of rotating hospitalists, I had chosen Dr. Westmoreland in part because of his assertion that he follows his patients to the hospital. I was never told he shared that duty with Dr. Chernack. While I was at my mother's bedside in the ER, he started to interrogate me as to why the trip to the ER had taken so long, which I found very off-putting and peculiar. I had called 911 as soon as my mother had the episode, and the first responders stabilized her and brought her to the ER. I wasn't aware of any delay (other than the fact that I had to stop to clear ice from my windshield, but my mother was riding in the ambulance, not with me), and his intimation that some impropriety might be involved really upset me. It was clear to me that my mother's condition was very serious, and I asked Dr. Chernack not to say anything about that in front of her. A short time later, while standing right next to my mother, he said, "She's a very sick young lady. She may not make it home." This remark was not only demeaning (it's inappropriate to call an extremely ill 90-year-old a "young lady") but expressly ignored the request I had made just a few minutes earlier. It demonstrated an appalling lack of respect for both the patient and the caregiver. In addition, Dr. Chernack gave my mother a breast exam, an indignity that was completely superfluous as she had just had a mammogram and a biopsy (as I could have told him if he had asked me before proceeding) and it was clear her breasts were not the problem. More than seven months later, I am sickened by his behavior that night and was more than dismayed to see that the practice had chosen him to succeed Dr. Westmoreland. read more

Michelle,the assigned nurse to the practice is completely useless. Front desk personnel don't pay attention. They don't answer phone calls, gossip among staff and generally present themselves as low budget people. Suffered for months with a shoulder injury and the front desk couldn't even get the files over to physical therapy so I could get this treated. The cycle of calling that office begging them to send the correct files over went on far too long. I was a long time customer and patient of this practice. Over time all of the qualified people left this practice. Wonder why?? I have since left this practice for another and so glad I did. The practice should clean house and start over with some people that can do the job properly. read more

The Staff is rude and incompetent, the Doctors are careless and neglectful. To make matters worse, their administration makes excuses for this behavior. Specifically speaking ANNE CLIFFORD- Practice Operations Manager at the Poughkeepsie Office. In 2014 I was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism by DOCTOR MICHAEL GAESSER. AFTER he misdiagnosed my symptoms as Lymes Disease, and put me on antibiotics which did nothing for me but make me feel worse. After the blood work came back negative for Lymes, we did a fully blood scan and it was found I had an inactive thyroid. I was told for the first year we would have to do blood work every 3 months, until we found a dose for medication that stabilized. After I was taking a stable dose I was told we would be able to do blood work less often. My levels stabilized after the first few tests, and I continued on 50mcg Levothyroxine. I have been on the same dose for well over 3 years. However every single time I need a refill for my prescription, I have my pharmacy call/electronically contact the office. This office and these doctors NEVER fill my prescription. I have battled them constantly over the course of the last 3 years, every time my script is up, I go without medication for DAYS because they will not call my script in, citing a need for blood work (meaning they want to bill my insurance and make more money) The most recent situation with Premier Medical Group comes October 8, 2018. I had called my pharmacy Saturday Oct 6th, 2018 to refill the script. I expected it not to be called in until Monday the 8th. When I followed up with the pharmacy Monday afternoon around 1pm, I was informed no one had called the refill in. I called the office to speak with someone and was put on the phone with LAUREN ROACH- Administration Lead. I explained my constant struggle with premier medical group, she was actually the only person I have ever spoke with in this organization that was not rude to me. She told me she would speak with Dr Gaesser and get to the bottom of this. The next day Tuesday Oct 9th, 2018 I called my pharmacy again, and still, no refill. So I call and speak with Lauren again and she handles the situation and Gaesser called my script in, finally, but only for 1 month and not the 3 month dose I normally get. After this I receive a letter in the mail from Premier Medical Group & Doctor Gaesser, the letter states I had not had a routine follow up with the office since November 25, 2016. I knew this statement was inaccurate, as I had been in the office back in April of 2018 for a cold, and on that day Gaesser asked me to have blood work done. I had blood work done IN HIS OFFICE. I know for a fact, not only because I remember it, but because I logged on to their patient portal and printed my test results from April 19, 2018. So this further solidified the incompetence and neglect from Premier Medical Group. They don't even update their records properly, then penalize the patient for it. I wanted to formally respond to the letter to show the neglect and incompetence. I was planning to respond to Dr. Gaesser and CC Lauren Roach with her own copies of Gaesser's original letter, my response, and proof in the form of my test results from April 19, 2018. When I called the office to confirm Lauren's name so I was sure she received her copies, the RUDE secretary PAULA CARUSO-POWELL answered. I asked her for Lauren's last name, she immediately put me on hold without saying anything. When she comes back to the phone she tells me the office cannot give out any information on staff and can only tell me her name is Lauren R. I explain that I need to make sure this gets to the proper person, she tells me that is all she can do for me. Typical of Premier employees, useless. So I go to google and in the search engine I type "Premier Medical Group of the Hudson Valley employee list" within 2 seconds I had a document that was updated on February 1, 2018 which stated ALL employees names and job titles. So the information the office told me they were not able to give out, was actually a matter of public record and easily found online. (hence how I have all the names of these people) I call the office back and get another secretary, she did not state her first name so I do not know who she is, at first she was polite. When I explain everything to her and tell her I have the employee list I want to confirm the Lauren R they told me was indeed Lauren Roach. I heard PAULA CARUSO-POWELL in the background say "It's the D'Orsi person again, we already told him we can't give him anything". The secretary then repeats that to me, frustrated I hang up. 10 minutes later I get a phone call from the office, on the other end is ANNE CLIFFORD. She defends her office and begin stating her qualifications to me, telling me they are correct for a 3 month blood test. Which contradicts other offices and what I was told in the beginning after I stabilized. DO NOT GO HERE!!! I have sought new a new PCP. read more

So far this office has been really good. My doctor, Dr. Chernack is very thorough with his exams and I don't know what I'd do if I had to find another doctor. The receptionists and the nurse who draws the blood are nice, as well as the nurse who does vitals. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Chernack's for ten years and highly recommend him. His old school approach to medicine involves an extended conversation about general wellness, lifestyle, and family history. When I had more serious health problems in the last year or so, he sent me to appropriate specialists but stayed on top of my diagnosis and treatment. He reassured me that the steps the specialist took were appropriate and justified and explained options going forward. He absolutely involves patients in their own care. read more
