In the real world, you'd unfortunately get one, maybe two of these things when renovating so we feel extremely lucky. They happily worked with the initial estimate (tweaking here and there) until we were completely happy with the plans and cost. The staff and contractors are all extremely kind and helpful. We had a major issue come up, and instead of simply repairing and carrying on they brainstormed and implemented a preventative fix so that the issue would not re-occur in the future. Paul and Maureen were so easy to communicate with and were transparent throughout the entire process. We made multiple changes to our existing plans, and they never hesitated or became frustrated. They also never pushed unnecessary work onto us and went the extra mile numerous times to ensure our house was safe. The type of renovation we did was a complete gut job - a lot of money and a ton of work, but this team made us at ease and confident the entire way. Terrible experience…read more First they don't give a final quote before starting a job. Ask for an estimate and they automatically assume it's a go ahead. They'll also start the job replacing such and such and not tell you it's extra charge until the end. Next they say their labour rate is such and such but in the end they say well there's two people so the rate is double. Wtf?? And I think they just make up the labour rate on the spot.
