Jarred Smith was wonderful on the phone, as I recall from 2013. He delivered a perfectly healthy beagle puppy to me, which I picked up at the airport. That was 12 years ago. Jarred told me he lives on an 18-acre farm in Missouri, and the dogs roam all over, and that his grandchildren play with the puppies. The only health issues I had were teeth that the vet had to remove, and now with old age, he's on medication for thyroid and too much protean in his blood. Most days, he still behaves like a puppy, although he can't keep up with the younger dogs at the dog park any longer! I find it hard to believe that the Smith farm is being called a "puppy mill," and I'm wary of slander. (Just look what was done to poor Mr. Trump! He got shot just because of the constant slander and political attacks, which unbelievably included false criminal charges. I met Donald Trump when I was 8 years old, and I KNOW he's a nice man, and that the Trumps have always been good friends of the Jewish people. His father Fred Trump built Seabreeze Jewish Center gratis, and my grandparents' rabbi couldn't stop blessing the man!) I think that's what's happening here--the Far Left just can't be trusted! This is a puppy farm. they sell hundreds of dogs a year. They're not a responsible breeder. Don't think you're buying a puppy from a loving home. Think of it as a cow or a goat. A farm animal. I received my puppy and it was sick. It was under weight and came close to being hospitalized. As much as I love my dog I feel bad for contributing to people who are in it for the money and not the love or welfare of the dogs they farm. We should all think twice before purchasing a puppy on line. I learned a valuable lesson. Buy from a breeder where you can visit and know that he and his parents are cared for and loved. read more

We learned the hard way why you should not buy from Premier Pups. Two years after receiving our dog and hundreds of dollars later we learned our sweet Cavalier had severe hip dysplasia and is in constant pain. She can bardly move and some days in in so much agony she does not want to even eat. Specialty vets have told us it would cost $6000 FOR EACH SIDE to replace her defective hips. This does not even address the luxating knee caps that these dogs develop. They tend to have heart issues as well. She is on pain medicine that will eventually ruin her kidneys. We love this dog and the breed is wonderful, but one day we will have to put her down as we simply can't afford the surgery. Buy from a reputable breeder. It will cost you more but much less than surgery that may not even work. read more

Around the end of may i purchased a beautiful frenchton puppy that went by the name Bronson now known as Kilo. As soon as he arrived he was everything i expected and more, so playful, so cute, so smart. He already came responding to the simple command "sit" aslong as you follow the simple instructions they give you for care your puppy will be good, i took him to the vet and they told me he had a grade 1 heart murmor which most puppies do, the vet feared it would grow so asked me to ask if the agency would support me if it did, i called and let them know my concern and mike emailed me back and reassured me that they stand by all of their puppies which was nice! Here i am 3 months later with a healthy happy puppy who went from 7 pounds to 23 in the blink of an eye. I love him to death and he's the sweetest puppy ever read more

This is 100% a puppy mill. My fiancee bought a labradoodle from them and it appears to be from the same litter as David E.'s below. We had similar problems. Dog arrived severely malnourished. His coat was patchy and thin, and he was SO skinny! First visit to the vet confirmed our worst fears. He had a combination of two parasites (coccidia and giardia) which required multiple courses of antibiotics. Our vet told us he is certain this dog came from a puppy mill (later confirmed by another vet we talked to) -- based on his extreme malnourishment and very bad multiple parasitic infections. After digging into the breeder a bit more, it's completely obvious they are not reputable. They sell more than 15 breeds and refuse to show you the parents. I can only imagine the horrible conditions our poor little puppy and his parents/siblings were forced to endure. Luckily, after two plus months of extreme TLC, our pup is growing strong and happy. On the one hand I'm thankful to have saved him from such a miserable environment, but on the other I'm enraged that I supported this puppy mill. Long story short -- GO ELSEWHERE for your puppy. Hopefully this disgusting operation will die off like it deserves to. read more

Update to my review: My puppy had to see a neurologist this weekend for limb tremors and has been diagnosed with neurological injury of his spinal cord from birth. Stay the hell away from this breeder. read more

I have a two year old beagle that I purchased from Premier. I was very please with the entire experience. They were correct telling me she was a sweetheart. PS the owner of Premier Pups just personally called and emailed me to follow up on my concerns. The Dr Pups vet will review the vulva issue and get back to me. Great follow up!! This is 4stars but may go to 5. I wanted a small bernedoodle but may not be the case. The staff gets 10 stars but my 20-35 lb pup is going to be 45- 50 lbs or more... Maybe my vet is wrong...time well tell. Remember no guarantees on size, mother nature still is in control. The mother was 63 lbs and the toy poodle 11 lbs. Artificial insemination... She came with a large herniated hernia, which they told me she had and offered to fix it for free, but that would have delayed her arrival. Next however, she was also just diagnosed with a recessed vulva, which is the worst my vet said she has ever seen. It was not visible when she was a small puppy. Just diagnosed at almost 20 weeks. She has to wear a cone and I have to clean it twice a day with ointment. I can delay her spay and let her go into her first heat, which may reduce some of the problem. If not and surgery is required the warranty may cover a per centage of it. She is a beautiful, strong alpha puppy and I love her dearly. D from California read more

Bought a yorkie poo from them who had such a bad hookworm infestation in his intestines that he had to have surgery that cost over $2,000k at just 1 year old. The vet said they had never seen such a bad infestation and that being how young he was, it had to be passed to him through his mother's milk. He is now permanently on medication that has to be given to him twice a day, otherwise, he throws up/can't keep anything down. They refuse to let you see the puppy's or their parents so the living situation must be horrendous. I can honestly only think about the puppy's parents who are used solely to crank out as many pups as they can get them to have. Those poor dogs must being living an actual nightmare. Was referred here by a friend who had a good experience. I was skeptical since Ohio is filled with puppy mills, but I figured I would do some diligence. Once I figured out that they seem to be affiliated or the same as Affordable Pups, which has terrible reviews, I tried to get more info. I had already scheduled a time to FaceTime with one of the dogs and paid a $10 fee for it, so I thought they would be responsive to my email. Instead, they asked to call instead of email answers to my brief, standard questions (ex. Can I get information on the puppy's parents and breeder?). As soon as I said I'd prefer to have the answers in writing to prevent miscommunication, the puppy I was interested in suddenly was no longer available. No refund was given for the FaceTime (not that I need the money, it's just the principle of it). You only get that shady if you're guilty. Clearly a puppy mill broker to stay away from. UPDATE: They did eventually get back to me and refund the money, but only after rudely texting me about this review to the point I had to block their number.
