The nurses were incredible in the L&D department, maternity ward, and the NICU. The NICU staff is wonderful. Very kind, knowledgeable, and experienced. So many of the nurses have had 20+ years experience in the NICU. That was comforting. The Neonatologists were great as well. They always took the time to sit and chat and answer as many questions as we had. The doctors were also available by phone if we happened to miss them in the NICU. Unfortunately not all hospitals have the same environment as Cottage's NICU. The new hospital is beautiful and the food .... Holy moly. A hospital with a menu! Awesome.

Dr. Emily Barrett has a rude attitude and couldn't even care to explain medicines to the patient. Barley came to see me, didn't even make an effort to make me feel like she cared. DONT RECOMMEND.

I was in so much pain that I also couldn't sit up or walk. So I decided I should go. The moment I pulled up to the entrance, the security guard greeted me with a wheelchair. A lifesaver! I didn't have to wait too long, and the nurses and staff were all so kind. I think Annie was my nurse, and she was incredibly compassionate and loving. They put an IV in me right away and gave me some meds to make me feel a little better. I worked with David Barsky, PA, and he was so thorough, caring, and positive. His positivity brought cheer to the environment. By the mid-afternoon, I was feeling better, at least enough to sit up and shuffle around. I wanted to go home and not be tested. David listened and let me go. Looking back, that was a bad idea, and I should have taken a more thorough route. It's great that I can follow up with my primary care physician after this episode, though. I'm afraid what I have may be chronic, and I might have to go back to the ER again someday soon, but this experience made me comfortable and confident that I will continue to have good experiences in the future if I have to go to the emergency department again. When I got home, I thought I might have to be admitted again because the pain was coming on strong, but I took an anti-nausea pill and the medicine that the doctor recommended, and I was able to stay out of the emergency room. It took about three days of sleep, medicine, and one bite of food, until I could finally eat my first meal and keep it down. I am glad that we have such a good ED here in town. It's experiences like this that make me want to leave my legacy with them in my will one day!

From the start, Nurse Practitioner Hayley Wise made judgmental comments about people dying in sports, right in front of my son. Mocked my husband and in a condescending manner asked him why we have sports physicals. She claimed to hear a slight heart murmur, even though my son has regular checkups and no history of murmurs. This caused a lot of panic--I immediately booked with a pediatric cardiologist and our long-time pediatrician. Today 6/4, his pediatrician--who knows my son well--confirmed there is absolutely no murmur, not even slight (she listened to his heart in several positions). NP Hayley had even signed a form stating my son wasn't fit to play, which was untrue. I can't believe I had to go through this. An experienced nurse should not make a casual, unconfirmed diagnosis, especially one that could have prevented him from participating in sports. Do not take your kids here for sports physicals unless you want judgement passed and lies made up about your children. If I ever come across NP Haley Wise again I would absolutely refuse her care
