Cheap and low grade recruiting. They advertise a job they are searching on, but it is just a gimmick to capture candidate profiles. After filling out information and providing my resume, a recruiter contacts me to discuss how to best interact with their website. Like, let me do their job for them right? Lol When i asked her to discuss the job description for the search she was running, she admitted that she was not actually calling about a search. Obviously this is a total boiler room style agency with very little professionalism and value add. Total joke, time waster, stay away. If you want to work with a real recruiter i suggest you look elsewhere. Edit to add* I'm upgrading to two stars because the recruiter did actually call on time, and sent good follow up emails which is definitely better than other agencies out there. read more

Disappointing experience. Don't waste your time. I had a poor experience with my CSM who ghosted me after a disagreement on compensation. I did attempt to follow up, leaving a voice mail and DMing them through their company's portal. I remember them asking me to log into their portal to look for additional opps after they created my account. While I updated my info, I've only seen 1 PMM role listed in the past month which is not in my field. This begs the question, how many opps and clients this talent network is really covering? After reading similar reviews on Yelp and seeing their team members posts on LinkedIn, it appears the last time they had a client with an opening was 2 months ago and prior to that around 6+ months ago. Because of the poor experience and limited communication, I'm led to believe that they're collecting data but don't necessarily have active clients. Perhaps they lost the account to another firm? Either way some simple comms can squash the assumptions. Best of luck PTP! read more

The interviewing process went great! Things sounded good and I was told that I am a great candidate and would be on their Radar for job opportunities. BUT, I never heard back. I was however asked to bullet a portion of my resume and after doing so I waited for a call or follow up that never came. So I called my contact at the agency and he said nothing was currently a match and it was slow at the moment. Well that was 9 months ago and to this day, no one has ever followed up with me again. Luckily another agency took me more serious and has placed me at various great locations and opening great new opportunities for me. My own personal experience with Premier Berkeley was that my Rep. talked a good talk and made me think I would be a great candidate to be working with. To actually never getting a call back, answers or true honest consideration. If there was a problem or concern with my experience or resume or anything else at all, it was never truly and honestly addressed to me. That was my problem oh having to TRY and work with this agency. This has been one of my worst experience with an agency. read more

Working with Premier has been great. I love their fast paced, straight to the point attitude, with a refreshing encounter of respectful transparency. With my personal experience, I had the pleasure of meeting Shawn Hocson.  After our first initial meeting to discuss my needs, skills set, and expectations, I was offered two possible temporary positions that day! My initial plan was to start with very short term temporary assignments and then accept anything temp to hire within my field of study. Thus, I decided to wait on the two initial offers from our first meeting. I eased myself into Premier slowly with temporary short term assignments so I could keep my options open with temp to hire positions. During this period of post graduation while working with Premier, I was enjoying myself visiting friends, reading, taking small traveling trips, exploring the Bay Area on days off, and, of course, doing temp work.  No less than 5 months after completing my undergraduate degree, Shawn was able to find me a temp to hire position directly related to my field of study and personal interests. It was too perfect of an opportunity to pass up and the position has been great. One of the worst experiences I have ever had with an Employment Agency. I interviewed in the San Francisco and Oakland Office which was staffed by a group of girls just out of college. They said they would be able to help me and two years later, still never hear from them. I call them, I email them and always met with a huge attitude. Now, they just stopped responding after I have stressed that I am unhappy and emailed the head of the Agency. They often place mass ads on craigslist for help but those positions aren't really available and this is after contacting them the same day. This means, to me, its a way of getting you in the Office to sign you up and them you go in to the Netherland of Candidates. I do not believe that these 5 star reviews could possible be real as my friends have had the same experiences. read more

A couple months ago, after my partner secured a job almost immediately through Premier, I decided to give them a try. Now, I'm not usually one to make hyperbolic statements, but seriously... Brenda is basically a savant at what she does. I met her on a Friday, left on a camping trip for the weekend, came back to an interview she lined up for me on Monday, and was called in for my first day on the job on Tuesday! A month and a half into the position, and I feel like Brenda found a pretty good fit. My boss is awesome, and many aspects of the job play to my creative strengths. I'm a secretary at a small law firm in Oakland. Premier Staffing recently sent a temporary secretary to our office to cover because I was out of the office for a month. The temp was very pleasant, very intelligent, and professional (I met her because she came to do training with us one afternoon). I left her instructions and a plan for how to organize her work so that when I returned I would be able to make a smooth transition back to my regular activities. She kept excellent track and documentation of her work and it was all waiting for me when I returned. And she did great work. She quickly understood the way we operate here in the office and did accurate, timely work for my boss. I looked through the work she did upon my return and it is thorough, complete, and accurate. And she left me some helpful notes clarifying a few matters. It was also a great experience working with Premier while we were looking for a temp before my departure. Brenda Woodard at the office was on top of it! She stayed in touch, sent us several options, including resumes, and worked with us to find the right person for us. Brenda really took the time to understand my unique skill set! Out of the 12 staffing agencies that I signed up with -- Premier was the only one to call me within 24 hours (some never did) and upon leaving the interview, Brenda already had a job lead for me. They provided excellent preparation materials to make sure, as a candidate, that I understood the ethos and background of each company I met with, and even set me up with a paid/working interview. But even better than that, I feel like Brenda "got me" and only sent me up for roles that fit my style -- e.g. I like young and fun start-ups, and she found me an assignment with a great one. The follow-up is always AMAZING. Had a little snag with Payroll, but Brenda even replied late on a Sunday night to reassure me it would be handled -- and it was. Whether or not my assignment goes perm, I'd be glad to work with Premier again. The Bottom Line -- Best experience I've had with a staffing agency thus far -- Fast, efficient, supportive and intuitive! All the others should be ashamed of themselves, in comparison. I was admittedly skeptical of another placement agency. I'd tried with Robert Half and Apple One but it was awful. I literally got called to hear about a job...that I quit years ago. I really felt they weren't listening to me. But...I was having no luck on my own so I decided to respond to one of the emails Premier sent me on a whim. Roughly one month later: EMPLOYED! Full time, permanent position. No temp stuff, no weird companies, no compromises on salary. And all thanks to Vicky. When I was interviewing with her, I told her at first what you'd think any potential employer wants to hear. And when she was up front and honest with me about what we could do, I let my guard down and told her "I really don't want to apply for that company...the other two sound good...but will you think me fussy to work with if I don't want to be part of THAT one?" NO! Not at all! Let's get you a job you want! Don't waste anyone's time - including yours! OMG what a relief! Anyway, long story short, I was super impressed with their down to earth attitude and the speed with which I got employed (after attempting to DIY for a year). And my first day on the job I got a little welcome gift from Vicky that had a notebook, a congrats card, and some other goodies. It was really sweet! read more

My recruiter (Lindsey S.) has been real nice. Her and the rest of the Premier team's communication is great. Online Time Sheet management does have some kinks and can be improved (Sometimes, the time sheet isn't available for me to fill in usually on Mondays). It's a small problem since you can fill it out throughout the week. I was very upfront to ask for what I wanted in my contract and she was able to make it happened. If I could give this business zero stars, I would. They're TERRIBLE, and my experience with them was very unfair and I think they're liars. I was sent on ONE interview in downtown SF while working a contract at LBNL. I left the current job with plenty of time, and when I drove into the city, this football thing was happening, and the IPhone kept steering me wrong, and I couldn't find a place to park. I called the people I was interviewing with to tell them the situation, and they were kind on the phone and patient and guided me to their office. I interviewed. THEN, the client called Premier and told them *I* kept them on the phone, and I got chastised for not calling Premier. They never sent me on another interview after that, despite me telling them THEY seemed helpful and not annoyed that I needed help with navigation. Oven contacted their CEO to ask if I had been blacklisted or viewed as an unfit candidate, which I am NOT, I have 20+ years of Admin experience including Exec Admin for C-level executives, and yet, positions I know I am qualified for I was never submitted for, despite me calling my SEVERAL recruiters repeatedly. THESE PEOPLE ARE DISCRIMINATORY AND ENGAGE IN AGISM!!!! read more

I'm so severely disappointed by my first experience having ever gone to a recruiting agency that I don't think I'll ever go back to one. I was referred here and the friend of mine spoke highly of these people, but man did I have the opposite experience. David Koch waited OVER a month with no contact whatsoever to reach out to me with a one day "assignment" handing out "tshirts and bibs from 10-4 for $18/hr." I walked into their office having communicated I was previously unemployed for 2 months and was having a hard time finding my next opportunity; however, I was in and was looking for full time administrative work. Not only did David Koch make me feel like a complete joke, but he treated me like one. Thank god I didn't wait around with any sort of high hopes. Premier is really great at what they do! Brenda and Lindsey are so helpful at making sure at finding a company and position that suits not only your skill set but your personality. They really listen to you and want to help you out in any way they can. After moving back to Los Angeles, I started with Premier in July, and they connected me with a great company in August, and I ended up accepting the job with them. I've never worked with a staffing agency before, and I thought, there really isn't much I can lose by checking them out. I'm so thankful that he chose me to interview with this one company because the interview went so well that I started working the next day. Premier has been wonderful to work with! Some highlights are that they are friendly and quick to respond. On the same day that I applied to a few of their job postings on their website, I actually received a call from one of their employees within two hours. We had a brief conversation on what types of roles I was looking for and how far away I'd be willing to commute from home. Just a few days later I got another call from another Premier employee who scheduled a time for me to meet up in-person with my assigned East Bay recruiter, Shawn. Shawn was extremely easy to talk to and informed me well on what I could expect by working with Premier. He also took the time to get a more in-depth understanding of what I was looking for in a job and my potential long-term career goals. At the end of our meeting, Shawn let me know that he would contact me about any roles that he thought might be fitting for me based on my career interests, but there was no pressure or judgement if I didn't want to be submitted as a potential candidate for whatever reason. Throughout all the times Shawn contacted me about roles, I found this to be true. Eventually I did accept a role, but I really do appreciate how patient Shawn was with me and never pushed me to accept anything I didn't want to do. Angelica, a Premier recruiter from the Silicon Valley office, was also contacting me about roles during the same time period, but I never felt any pressure from her to accept anything either. It was nice to know that even though they worked for different Premier offices and had different clients, their goal was to help me find a job that I was interested in instead of competing with each other to fill their own respective clients' positions. Also, a few months after I had accepted a position through Premier, I had to complete Premier's 90-Day Performance Review Guide with my worksite's manager. I liked this idea because it gave us a chance to provide feedback to one another and go over if I was meeting the company's expectations as well as if the company was meeting my expectations in return too. Again, this just shows how much Premier truly cares about the candidate-client relationship by checking up after some time to make sure that both parties feel like they are given the support they need to excel. Overall, if you are looking for a job and would like some help from a professional staffing company that will take the time to listen and care for what you have to say without trying to force you into anything, I definitely recommend getting in touch with Premier. read more

I'm sorry to have to say this, but I've experienced poor communication with multiple members of this team. They seem to only be interested in reaching out to you on their schedule. I've dealt with them on more than 1 occasion, whenever they're working with multiple companies on my behalf, they only seem to be interested in talking about the role the want to place me in, rather than the one I'm actually interested in taking. When I would send messages asking about the other positions, my messages somehow always found the abyss. Not so when I was sending messages about the positions they felt I was suited for, I'd find a reply squarely in my inbox soon after. A professional salesperson doesn't black hole questions they don't want to answer. I'll be avoiding this staffing firm in the future, unfortunately. 1 star because everyone I've spoken to has been polite, but the follow-up has been very poor. Not a quality I want to deal with when I'm staking my family's financial future on a job opportunity. read more

After applying for a position, I was called in and offered a temporary assignment, which started the next day. I woke up at 6 a.m. in order to make it to work by 8:30 in Fremont. Thirty minutes before I was scheduled to arrive at work, the recruiter called to say they no longer needed me. They offered me no compensation for my time and seemed to have no regard for their workers. Also, in the job description, it said temporary staff was not allowed to use the break room at the workplace because it was reserved for staff employees only. So if you don't mind being treated like a second-class citizen in the workplace, this might be the place for you. It is pretty unprofessional to offer someone a job and then tell them 30 minutes before they're supposed to be at work they are no longer needed. Don't work with these people unless you are extremely desperate. read more

This is one of the worst recruiting agencies I've ever dealt with. They are misguided and care nothing about the candidate. First, they sold me on a job without first understanding what their client was looking for. I went through the process and in the final interview round, they sent me the wrong time to meet with the prospective boss! They also checked and bothered my references without having an offer on the table first. In the end, I knew I wasn't going to get the job because the client was looking for someone in the same industry. The recruiter told me the client was putting an offer together! This recruiter is so out of touch and has no idea what she is doing. Very disappointed with Premier Talent and would advise anyone to STAY AWAY from this recruiting agency. read more

Premier Staffing does the best that they can do. I'll be honest, you should probably not depend solely on their phone calls for possible positions without actively continually seeking employment on your own. Lindsey is a great recruiter and will try to find you a position in your field or a role that you qualify for. I was placed a few times but nothing was really ever guaranteed. Again, I found most of my employment on my own or through other employment agencies but I am thankful for the few times I was placed by Premiere. My advice, register with a few employment agencies at once to keep yourself sane. read more

We quickly went over my resume and what I was looking for. Overall, short but pleasant meeting. I only received one call from her about a position. The call was very rushed and she was a bit snappy. Was told the job assignment was 2 weeks. The Friday before the assignment was due to start, I got a call stating that the project had been pushed out a week. Started the assignment a week later. On Wednesday the job was abruptly terminated for everybody on the job, which was a crew if about 12 - 15 people. I called a week later to get feedback on what happened, and my personal work performance. The recruiter was unavailable, so I left a voicemail requesting a call back. Did not receive a call back so after 3 days, I called again. Again, recruiter not available. On the third attempt, the next week, their phone system and e-mail system was down. On the fourth week, when my call finally got through. Again, recruiter was unavailable, so I left a voicemail requesting a call back. To this day 6 weeks later, I am still waiting for a call back. read more

Waste of time. I submitted my resume and received a call to come in and meet with a recruiter. I came in and met with the recruiter and we went over my resume, I filled out all the paper work, and was told they would contact me when positions were available. 2 weeks following this meeting I got a call from my recruiter. She left me a voicemail about a position and I called back 8 minutes after the missed call. I was greeted by whoever answers the phone. They told me my recruiter was unavailable and asked if I wanted to email her or leave a voicemail, I left a voicemail saying I was interested and to give me a call back. My voicemail was never returned. The following day I sent an email following up regarding the position and the voice mail that I had left. My email was never answered. 5 weeks after the unreturned call and email from my recruiter I received a call back from Premier! I had their number saved in my contacts as I was instructed to do so when I went in and met with the recruiter. I answered the phone call from Premier....wait for it.... to silence and a click! Whoever called me hung up on me after I answered and said "hello." Honestly I got a good laugh out of it. I thought I would share my Premier experience so others don't waste their time, energy, and money going down to their Oakland office. read more

I took a chance using a local boutique staffing provider, and I must say it was the best choice I made. My time frame to hire a receptionist fill-in was a two day window. I called and was given a price after I told them I was shopping around for the best price. They were very polite and gave me a competitive hourly rate. They were able to find me someone for the next day. However their first choice cancelled and reassigned me to someone else. I'll admit I was not happy with the last minute change, but the replacement turned out to be outstanding!!! His name is Curtis and he was professional, polite, knowledgeable, and a swift learner. My supervising and training was minimal and I was able to conduct my normal job with his help. My entire staff was happy with his service. I will definitely use Premier Staffing again and highly recommend them. read more
