I'm giving this place 3 stars for the hotel itself, because at the end of the day it is what it is,nice staff, nice room, nice decor and nice painted lines in the car park (A deal breaker for me).
What I am doing though is giving an extra star for the restaurant attached to the place which is called Thyme. We didn't arrive 'till about half eight in the evening so after dumping our bags in the room we went straight for some grub.
I opted for the build your own pizza (I went for bacon, pepperoni and chicken) and when it arrived it also came topped with rocket, and I can hobestly say it was the nicest pizza that I have ever had away from a dedicated pizza/Italian place!
Ange went for the burger option and I can't remember it's name or what was on it,but she really enjoyed it! Cooked to perfection and the side order of twice cooked chips were also pretty good. In fact so big was the burger, some of the chips were left!
In the morning the breakfast was typical fare ,all cooked well and nice tasting.
Yep,a good place to stay, and a great place to eat.... read more
