The areas are kept pretty clean so the cleaning crew does do a good job in maintaining the office build and restrooms. They now also have work areas where you can work there if needed while waiting in the lobby, which is a nice change.

While I could escape for periodic video-conferences, I was having a really had time getting any of my thought work done - for that I need silence with no interruptions. Fortunately, I found Venture-X. They are less than 3 miles from my home and they had exactly what I need - a great place to think and to work. I signed a 6 month lease for a private office and I have been smashing my work ever since. I have 24-hour, 7 days a week access. The internet is great (both wired and WiFi), the fully automatic expresso machine makes great expressos, etc. They even found a place for me to park my bike. As nice as the facilities are, what really makes this place special is the staff - Ron, Hina, & Hira. I had lots of questions at first and they were very kind and patient with me. They facilitated all my requests and just did a great job of welcoming me. It is nice when you walk into a place and the first thing you hear is "Hi John", etc. The spread they put out for a Thanksgiving lunch was serious (see picture). The location is excellent - right in the Fairview Village, across from The Revolving Kitchen. If you are looking for workspace, you need to check out Venture-X - they also have conference rooms and several different types of workspaces. Highly recommended.

So, tenants received bills for the retroactive increase together with notice of what their new office use rate would be. Also, deducted from the "Services Retainer" on move out is a "line disconnect fee." $40 in my case. In addition, the walls between offices are very thin. There is no such thing as confidentiality in the offices as your neighbor's every phone call and conversation is clearly audible. As is your own. Also interesting how they couch everything in terms of "license" to use the space and "services retainer." I suppose they think to avoid any application of landlord tenant law to their operations.

Upon arrival, we were told something different, and that this location is more "upscale" and likely not a good fit for our general contracting business.
