I got introduced to Ryan through my lawyer. Apparently there was a mix-up and I was released without my bail being paid. To rectify this ended up being a herculean task, as the justice system seemed ill equipped to deal with this (unprecedented?) situation. Ryan went above and beyond trying to get this resolved both at the jail and at court without even getting paid for his help. I wish there is an option to give more than 5 stars, because they went way above and beyond for me. Here is my story: I needed to bail someone out of the San Mateo County jail. I was referred by an attorney to Ryan Leary in Premiere Bail Bonds. His staff got the paperwork done quickly and let me e-sign on my cellphone, and they were ready to post the bail. This is what I expected from a good business and I would give them a 5-star rating for this. But what made me want to give them more than 5 stars is what happened next. Right before they were going to post the bail, the person I wanted to bail out called me from jail and said he/she would be released on Own Recognizance (meaning no bail is needed). I called Ryan and told him that. He was happy to stop the bail and refund me the fee. But this was not the best part. After half hour, the person called me from jail again and said someone had posted the bail (which was a mistake from the jail), so the jail was not going to release him/her on OR. I called Ryan and he was willing to contact the jail to find out what was wrong. He got back from jail one hour later and the reason was that jail didn't get a name, location, and phone number to release the person to. Ryan was happy to help me pass that information to the jail, and finally the person was released on OR at 10pm. Without Ryan's help, the jail's mistake could have delayed the process and it would be a nightmare to stay overnight in the "other side" of the jail. Frankly, as a businessman, Ryan could have just posted the bail and charged me the fee. But he acted in the best interest for me and didn't charge me a cent. I'm unfortunately able to compare bondsmen, and Premiere is the better of the two of I've dealt with, and used them twice as a result. They've been friendly and fast both times I've used them. In particular I felt they treated my concerns and as a "middle class" arrestee differently than the more typical detainee who's got troubles getting together bond money. My lawyer recommended them, and they have the advantage of providing better rates than regular bondsmen when a lawyer refers you, so lawyers, please establish a relationship with them, so more people can benefit. read more
