Upon arrival my friend realised that she had locked us out of her house. We had to smash the panel window at the side of the door to let ourselves in (or at least as quietly as possible at 3am!) After we had gotten ourselves inside, cleaned up the mess and settled down, my friend went into her handback to get out her mobile, and the first thing she put her hand on.... her house keys. The problem here was the property was rented and the landlady lived nearby, so we needed to get this repaired ASAP. We got the first telephone number of a local repair company we could, and left it out to call first thing in the morning. We called and were told someone would be round within the hour. In less than 30 minutes the guy was with us, had the good grace not to laugh (too much) at the story, and had the job done very shortly after. Perfect!

As they've recently moved premises they caught my eye again and I decided to inquire about getting the last wooden blind that I need. It wasn't difficult to arrange an appointment for some body to come and measure up for a quote. The problem is that if you're out at work during the day you can't get them to come at a convienient time before you leave - 9.30 is the earliest and it's much the same at the end of the day. That's why I ended up getting someone else who could come after office hours to do most of my blinds last time. They're not open on Saturdays either, which is a pity. I wouldn't mind getting them again because they are nearby, if only I didn't have to reorganise my life so much to fit in with their hours.

John took them out to the back office and came back to say all there. When I got home and was hanging each one, the stitching is so shabby/shocking to say the least. I could not sell in that state to a customer. I rang John and he did agree that some back stitching took place - well every slat was bad, not even straight. Asked me to bring them back!!!!!???? If I had checked myself before leaving the shop, I would have asked questions. Maybe my standards are much too high. Would not go back here - get better service anywhere else. Cecilia Conway
