Most of the larger hospitals around town have a 6mo or more wait to get an appointment. The medical assistant that helped initially was very welcoming and made me feel comfortable at my appointment. Kim was very thorough during my physical and treated me as a patient and not a number. I had a few medical concerns that we addressed together so Kim and I created a game plan to help me with those. She also gave me undivided attention during my appointment. She wasn't in a rush, or make me feel like all of my questions were a burden to her. I'm glad I established myself there. It's also very convenient since I live in Northern Rio Rancho!

I ended up having complications but they were nothing that could have been predicted nor prevented by the doctor nor the staff. I am an especially hard stick when it comes to my IV lately and am waiting on a port. The anesthesiologist, Dr. Chen, was able to assist with an IV in my wrist. It was painful yet very affective and got the job done! Dr. Saad, the GI specialist performing my EGD, was not very friendly nor did he explain the results. Instead I vaguely remember him giving the info to the nurse to give to me when I woke up so he could leave. I remember waking up and wanting to be like, "It's okay to talk to me. I'm not scary. I'm just a person too." But he still did a great job and I appreciate his work!

And I'm headed back to Southern shortly for neurological PT to help with my neuropathy-causing falls. I'm confidant I'll receive the same exemplary clinical care. I was very upfront about the amount of travel my job requires and yet no one mentioned I could not be in another state for my web meeting; I called in from California and they cancelled on me! That was my second appointment cancelled in a row (the first, I cancelled because I was still on the road driving) resulting from in my ineligibility for the free gym membership. Regardless of who or why the appointments were cancelled, my insurance was billed $160/session. Six weeks in and still no gym membership and very little useful information nutritional guidance; no workout tips and tricks were ever shared! Completely unorganized company...

They are not an ER so don't expect them to just take you in on the spot without an appointment. They're open 8-5 Monday - Thursday and they're closed for lunch hour (12-1) last I knew of.

The receptionist put on a fake crying act while two others came out accusing me of yelling -- even though I was calm and simply asking for answers. It was clearly a setup to distract from the fact that they had no intention of helping or standing by their services. I even recorded the interaction -- that's how insane it got. Rather than offer any kind of refund, explanation, or professionalism, they had the nerve to call the police and warn me not to return -- as if I was the problem for wanting accountability.
