The Courier was going to charge my credit card but fortunately the card had expired so they were not able to do so. The newspaper says "Daily" but is published only five days a week. I sure would like to receive a "daily" newspaper seven days a week like it used to be. I'm still paying the same subscription rate for five days a week as I use to pay for seven days. There should be an adjustment for receiving a five day per week paper. Having been a subscriber for 15 years, the paper has gone from being moderately conservative to extremely liberal. The other thing that bothers me is I never know when the paper will arrive at my home every morning. It varies from 5:00 AM to 7:00 AM. On some days it never makes it here until late morning or afternoon or even the next day because of alleged equipment or breakdowns. read more

Very bias newspaper! Definitely leans left, not balanced. Just want the news, not the editorial perspective. Also, terrible major sports coverage. After subscribing for a few years, cancelled paper to avoid the frustration. Only things we miss are the comics, puzzles, local news and advertising. read more

Subscribed to paper a few weeks ago. A couple of weeks later I started having issues accessing e-edition. This went on for a few days and decided to send email to subscription email requesting cancellation. Received quick response apologizing for problem and was informed they would give me 3 weeks free for inconvenience. Now three weeks since initial subscription, not only do I still not have access, it appears I no longer even have an account. I sent an email to the person that said they would extend my subscription letting them know. It has been 5 days with no response. read more

I think that the Courier has greatly improved over the 13 years that we have lived here. We have an online subscription, which costs just $4.49 per month. Recently, they have been publishing more letters to the editor as well as editorials which are apparently written by local people. I agree with the reviewers who say that the tone seems to have gotten more liberal, and this reflects the changing demographics and political views of Prescott. read more

The daily courier has cut the amount of days that you get the paper. They have raised their prices, and I still can't get them to deliver my paper. I have called two or three times a day for the last 2 days emailed couple times, and I get people apologizing say they don't know why after they receive I $75 I'm still not getting a paper. Truly run organization all the way around. read more

Sitting here enjoying the peaceful Sunday morning when here comes the courier's delivery driver, racing up our little private country dirt road going about 40 miles an hour. Every neighbor I have spoken to, including the one who receives the paper, has complained about his driving. He is so disrespectful of our neighborhood and people who live here. He has been asked to slow down by several neighbors. His response is usually some nasty comment followed by spinning his tires as he takes off faster. Complain to the courier and the response is that "he is a private contractor and doesn't work for us". He represents your paper. He wouldn't be in this neighborhood if not for working for you. Anyone who does any kind of work for any business represents that business. If it were me getting the paper, I would just cancel it. No more issue. Unfortunately the folks who get the paper are older and want the news. It's so sad that people have no respect for others anymore. So sad that the courier can't find a decent human to deliver their papers. So sad that I had to give one star in order to post. There should be negative stars. read more

They only print radical republican news and are NOT equal in reporting. They are as far right as you can get. Poor information and they support the massive growth we do not have the resources for building. Traffic is horrible and I have been rear-ended twice in two years. The police which we have to pay extra for in taxes are nowhere to be seen. They have disappeared off our streets and are doing???? I see people run red lights daily and speed down Willow Creek at over 70 mph! Accident rates are going up! Now the city want new offices and will spend a fortune which they do not need! Vote in new people and ditch the over developers. We need another paper that prints the truth. read more

I'm sorry I had to even give them a star. I tried the Daily Couriers so called delivery service. I was told it would come to my house. I'm disabled and there are days I can not even get out of bed. So it was important that I get it to my house. They ended up just delivering it to my mailbox. I told them I could not get down there every day and days that I could. I found the paper was being stolen. Out of fifteen days. I only got five papers. I called three times about my situation and was told it would start being delivered to my house. It didn't happen. I called the papers manager. I explained my health and situation. He agreed that customer service is not what it used to be. Also going an extra 6 tenths of a mile was too much for my service and it was not profitable enough. So only 6 TENTHS of a mile hurts the company's profits. So I no longer get the paper. Customer service is dieing in this country or maybe just this paper. No wonder circulation is way down. The customer means little to them. I'm sorry. I'm upset over how things are turning out. I turned around business that were losing money and turned them around. Just by taking care of the customer. I was a trouble shooter for an oil company in three states. I'm visiting my mom for the past few weeks and just about every week I'm calling both the AZ Republic and The Courier asking why my mom's paper isn't getting delivered as she's signed up for both papers with a Wed and Sun delivery. I found out 2 weeks ago that the Courier is supposed to deliver the AZ Republic as they're a 3rd party delivery to AZ Republic. I have probably called each paper at least 4 to 5 times each in the last few weeks and I'm always assured the problem will be resolved. Well, this past Wed, Jan 18th my mom FINALLY got both her papers delivered but here it is Sun, Jan 22nd and again, NO Courier or Republic! I called the Front Desk at the senior living center where my mom lives and the Front Desk person said they've not received any papers for their residents today due to inclement weather! Wtf? It's blue skies here just like it was yesterday, Saturday! I also called the Courier this morning to find out about the missing papers and there's a recording that due to inclement weather the papers are delayed today! How is this even possible that it's a clear and sunny day and that they could lie like this?!! My mom is 90 years old with little to look forward to except getting her newspaper and she doesn't do virtual papers. When she lived in her house for 46 years she never had a problem getting both papers but now it's a nightmare. I'm going to recommend my mom cancel these papers as all they do is charge an arm and a leg for their papers but then won't deliver! Total scam. read more

These people were very unprofessional and made mistakes with my mother's obituary. There's nothing they can do to correct that kind of carelessness. If you have to deal with them, just make sure to double- or triple-check everything especially if you are in contact with more than one employee. read more
