Because of my Mother in law's unique condition I was promised she would be placed with an aide that was both understanding and knowledgeable and she definitely is. Her laundry is being done and grocery shopping is no longer something I have to try and fit in my busy schedule. Bathing was a big issue and struggle and I am thrilled that she is agreeing to it and she looks and feels great because of the care she has been receiving . A nurse comes to visit her once a month which i think is an added bonus and really gives us a peace of mind. I highly recommend this company.

I am quite sure the companies intentions as a whole are good but the aids that were sent to take care of my elderly father were generally not qualified. Also, we know as a fact that at least one of them was criminal. Below is a list of significant issues we had during their employment. 1. During one of my visits I discovered marijuana in his basement near the washing machine. He lives alone & can no longer go down the stairs.... 2. The aids regularly would sleep during their overnight shifts, which the management said was not allowed & even after being told of this activity did nothing about it. 3. One of the aids would use my fathers car to run errands, which the management said was not allowed. Found out later that the aid got paid mileage as if she had used her personal vehicle. 4. Several items of significant vale were stolen including collector coins, gold watch & steaks right out of his freezer. 5. On initiating their services my father only had one request, that whomever they send could speak English well as he is old & hard of hearing. Needless to say there were several that could barely speak English & did not know what basic items were. Among their tasks was meal prep which most did not know how to do. 6. I would consider the majority of the staff to be glorified baby sitters that I would not want to babysit my children. For $5,000 a week I would expect much, much better. One of the aids said they were paid $15 an hour. That calculates to $2,500 a week in direct wages, where is the other $2500 going, not into training I can tell you that. They don't even supply their own surgical gloves. Some of these actions were preditory, criminal & just despicable. Not happy at all.

I have been able to go to work knowing he is safe and more importantly content with his providers. Bathing, incontinence care, grooming, meal prep, laundry, light housekeeping and engagement in activities are all outstanding. We had other services. So glad we found Flourishing.
