This place is a gem for anyone looking for a wide variety of Latin products from different countries. The hot food is fresh, plentiful, and delicious. The bakery and sweets section offers treats for every Hispanic tradition, and of course, the excellent cafecito cubano is a must! The store is clean, well-organized, and fully stocked with diverse products. The staff is friendly and welcoming, making the shopping experience even better. Stopped here for a caldero pot and was pleasantly surprised. The strip mall that it was in looks like every other strip mall in South Miami Heights, but slightly dirtier, but the store itself was not bad at all. Not only did we find the caldero but there was a nice little mini diner to the right of the entrance that serves all the Cuban/Latin dishes. The produce section is off the chain! The had bean sprouts!!!! I have been to several different markets and Asian markets and they didn't have them, but this place did! There was such a great selection and the prices were good. The store always smells bad and the cashiers are very rude to non Latinos. They tried to charge a watermelon into my bill when I didn't buy one. The cashiers will try to charge items that you didn't buy on purpose and pocket that money and always short change you and never give you the right amount of change. Beware when checking out at this store! Always look at the screen to see what exactly they are charging onto your grocery bill! read more

Place is not ghetto ghetto, but Hialeah ghetto. They do have good deals from time to time. The decor is early 80's n the employees are in on the retro look. As soon as you walk in to the right is the cafeteria, which I must say I have not heard great things from. Walk forward and the produce section will be to your right. Stuff is a bit disorganized and looks like a 3rd world country in construction. As you walk through the store you will notice an odd smell. That is the smell of the butcher/deli shop. The place needs to be better ventilated. One thing I do like about this supermarket is the fact that they collect cheese samples from different cheeses n sell it in a bag. Kansas - I don't think we're in Toto anymore. You know - I can tolerate Calle Ocho and all that it entails. but really? This place is out of control scary - we went to p/u ice for a party - and hey look there's Presidente - sitting outside in the car with my two kids (in my hubbie's shiny BMW) I sat there with the numbers 911 in my phone ready to hit 'Call'. When he got out of the store (empty handed) - there was a group of young kids just staring at him. We could have been in Pakistan for all I know. My hubbie said that the place was really dirty and that their was mold inside that ice bag holder thing. We ended up finding a gas station not so far away. This place is GHETTO! I don't know that I would trust the groceries in Presidente Supermarket, but if you're looking for good Cuban bread, this is where you need to go. You crybaby punks don't know what a ghetto is. This is a fantastic Market for shoppers who want to pay for their groceries and not for marketing and "front" appearance. I have found the best prices on produce and pork products at this store. Check out their weekly flier for specials. My last purchase of Boston Butt chunks (with bone) was .98 per pound. I put a star because I have to put something to leave this comment, my experience in that market is the worst, very bad smell, in the food lines there are not two shopping carts at the same time. I bought a ham Don Novo and I was spoiled, I threw it away and I did not return it because I spend more gas and it gives me so much pain that they are making fun of the customers, those markets should close, very rudeness of the cashiers and the Managers, do not greet or wish good morning. I came in to the store today and was treated very rude by the head cashier. I had a shopping cart full of food and was ready to pay. I was recently given from a job a visa cash card. Which in this previous week I have used this card several times at the store. The case is the head cashier did not know how to explain herself why the store does not let a customer use a visa cash card. She stated the reason is because the supervisor stated the store does not accept the cards in the store. She went on to argue with me with out having a correct way of explaining it to me the customer creating a seen for me and the store. If the store decided to not accept a cretin type of payment. There should be some publication stating it at the register not wait till I get to the register to pay to tell me that they do not accept that card because the manager side not. The customer knowing that this card was previously accepted and the money taken from my account. read more
