This is such a nice bookshop! Independent too. I heard the kids section was great but it was so nice in person. The coffee shop attached had a great iced latte too! Perfect adorable shop to browse new and favorite reads, charming gifts, and grab a wonderful locally brewed coffee drink! What more could you ask for? I love visiting Pressed to browse and find a slower pace among the books and gifts. I also do a big part of my holiday and birthday shopping there each year. What's not to love about a small (but not too small to not have everything that you need) book store? When I need something special and want to be sure that I'll find it at Pressed, I take advantage of their free online ordering. I can find all the books that I need and they call me once they arrive in store. Be sure to check out the local section of the store and the kids area - they are both well stocked! Two things I love; independent book stores and coffee shops. Combine the two and you have Pressed. I've had the pleasure of experiencing Pressed a few times when I am in town visiting my niece . Love the size of this book store, especially the children's room. Love the other gifts available here, as well. There is always a white board menu of specialty drinks that I order from. I felt very unwelcome here. I had never been before so needed direction. Not one person greeted me. Not one person asked if I needed help. I wandered a bit looking around. I could not find what I was looking for, so I left. I took my business to the big box book retailer. What a difference! I was pleasantly greeted by 3 different employees and asked if I needed help. The employee who helped took me right to what I was looking for. It's a shame because I believe in shopping local as much as possible. read more
