Our back and front yards were in dire need of mowing and clean-up. I posted at Yelp and Juan of PCW responded quickly. His rate was reasonable so we scheduled work the following day. There was a minor issue with the blower but other than that, the lawns turned out immaculate! We intended a one-time cleanup only but may go with a recurring service. I requested lawn care service from this company approximately two days ago. They confirmed that they could come by to assess my lawn and service it yesterday., However, I received a message that they were running behind and couldn't make it till 7-8am today., But again, today I received a message at about 3 saying they they couldn't make it till around 5:30pm. We had previously discussed and confirmed that service would be ongoing for monthly services and that I would pay monthly, in advance, after they provided my first cut. They asked if anyone would be home at around 5:30 and I said no. They then said that they could take a photo upon arriving and then one halfway through service so they could be paid. While I understand that there existed to be a sense of potentially being "duped" out of money for service, service should have been provided under the circumstances, especially since being pre-planned and waiting. am currently out of town and my spouse is working late and found this request to be inconvenient and unprofessional. Now I must wait another 2-3 days to arrange another company. As a result, I would not recommend this company, especially for those working and cannot be home when service is provided. read more
